We stayed for 1 night on 9th October to celebrate my wife birthday. We had an amazing stay. The room was amazing (Taupin suite) it was so spacious. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was huge with a great walk-in shower. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The lady on reception was so helpful. The hotel is in a great location.

My second visit here for afternoon tea, and it did not disappoint. A good selection of both sweet and savoury to nibble at- we all enjoyed the sausage rolls in particular. The staff were very attentive and friendly (sorry we didn't get names). Would highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. I was disappointed however that the room was cold although when I mentioned it in the morning concern was shown and was told it could have been addressed. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety

Excellent hotel to which we have returned several times. Wonderful quiet situation in historic Lincoln, just a few hundred yards from the Cathedral and Castle, lovely friendly staff, excellent breakfasts and very good rooms (many with views) with all you should need - all at a very sensible price

Love the new menu! A lot of amazing choices. Food was amazing and very well presented. Hats off to the chefs! Staff are all lovely and professional. Rooms are gorgeous and clean. One of my favourite places to visit when at the Bail Gate. Will definitely be returning.

Went with my girlfriend for our anniversary weekend. Stayed in the Gibson suite and it was perfect for what we wanted. Dined in the restaurant on the Saturday night the steak was one of the best I’ve had in Lincoln. The service and housekeeping team were amazing and also so friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here

I had a solo room booked due to a business trip for just a night with breakfast. I could not have been happier with my stay , with a picturesque view of the castle. When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist Amy who welcomed me , got me checked in and provided me with some information on things to do in the area. When I got to my room it was well made , spacious and very impeccably arranged. At breakfast I had a full English which went down a treat. I wished my stay was longer and will certainly be rushing to book any future stays when returning to Lincoln. Thank you very much Castle hotel!

I stayed in the Taupin Suite, and I had the most brilliant stay! Amy was so attentive whenever I needed anything, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere was so lovely, and I felt super welcomed the entire time I stayed. I will definitely be returning again!

Regularly asks their staff to provide false reviews, meaning whether they are real of false cannot be determined. Please see below exhibit A for the emails being sent out inviting staff to write reviews! This is not the first time and a woeful tale from many staff who have worked with this establishment.
