Based on a two night stay at room 15, at the top floor of the hotel (basically the ”penthouse” / roof). There is no elevator, so this may be a problem for you if you have trouble carrying your luggage up the stairs (which we don't). Perhaps you can ask the staff for carrying assistance, though. The room had recently been refurbished, and appeared modern and new. That is to say, that was the first impression. The ”second impression” was that the refurbishing job had taken a couple of short cuts here and there. But - overall a very nice, modern room, not really anything to complain about. We had access to the roof area, which had a table and chairs. The weather wasn't really inviting though, unfortunately. Note: I don't know if all the other rooms have been refurbished as well. Please ask when you book a room, if this is important to you. No air conditioning, but the possibility to get air through the room by opening windows on either side. There's a flat screen TV, but no ironing iron, minibar, or water heater. As a guest, one could get both coffee and tea for free in the restaurant area and bring it to the room, though. We wished there had been bed side tables, but I guess the space didn't permit it. There is some storage room in the head board of the bed itself though. The general atmosphere of the hotel is cozy, warm and charming. The food we had was good, but we didn't eat dinner here. We had a creamy fish soup for lunch which was quite good, and the breakfast buffet was nice (better than the previous hotel we had stayed at, even with Covid-19 restrictions). There's no parking at the hotel, but you can stop outside to unload, and drive to a parking garage not that far away. I think it amounted to 100,- NOK for two days of parking there. Ask the hotel staff if you can't find the parking garage. It's up a hill past the church yard nearby. I can definitely recommend a stay here, at least from the experience we had.
