Altis Avenida Hotel

Baixa Lisbon|0.6km from Bruxa Beer Bar
I visited this place in march 2022 with my husband. The + of this hotel: - modern (I think they have redecorated it recently) - perfect situation (you are between Avenida da Liberdade with Restauradores square on one side and the Rossio square) and you have thus plenty of restaurants and shops right next to the hotel, as well as many places of interest to visit in the neighbourhood - a good restaurant at the top of the hotel with a great terrasse from where you can admire the city: the Rossio Gastrobar It is « tapas » kind and it was one of the best food we had during this 3 nights stay - a good breakfast offer in a room which is also situated on the roof top, on the other side of the gastrobar, though a little bit noisy when it is full - the rooms are correctly equipped and perfectly clean - though you are in an animated area, it is perfectly calm and quiet in the rooms The - now: - the bedrooms are very dark. We took one superior with balcony but still, all was black in this room and the view was…not what we expected, even if it was on a quite high floor. In fact most of them are facing their other hotel across the road. I bet you’d better take a suite to get an open view. - service is ok but very discreet (reception) or jaded (gastrobar). It was good at breakfast. Let me explain: I couldn’t get a reservation in any of the three restaurants I had asked for my last evening through the reception. I guess it saved me money :-) At Gastrobar, several waiters were acting as if they had not seen our signs, waiting for the only waitress that night to do it at their place (which she always did)

Liked: Lovely hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Lisa was particularly lovely. Room. Room 202. Comfy. Hard wood floors. Gorgeous view. Firm mattress. Arm chair. Tricky windows to close. Few hangers, hairdryer and mini safe in open wardrobe. Shower gel and shampoo provided. Good sized shower. Breakfast. Great selection. Fresh bread basket of rolls, croissants. Granola, fruit salad, natural yogurt. Cold meats, cheeses. Boiled eggs - can request scrambled and I saw a couple being given fried eggs. Mini savoury pastries, custard tarts, cake, mini pancakes, sliced bread to toast. Lactose free milk, soy milk. Juices. Teas, Nespresso machine. 5pm tea time. Beautiful Living Room space with comfy sofas to chill out on. Nice cake. Teas. Nespresso machine. Disliked: Room: Smaller than envisaged. You can hear the footsteps of guest in the above room. The room is located across the hall from the breakfast room so you may hear crockery / glass type noises fro staff preparing the breakfast. The bed would move very easily and I had to remember to push it back against the walk before sleeping. Small bathroom with awkward door position. No shelf in shower just a couple of hooks - awkward placed Shower drain cover not bolted down Tea time: No fresh milk by default. Called reception once and had some delivered to room. Another time there was no answer at reception for over 10 minutes and I gave up. My biggest concern was with the water bottles in my room and at breakfast. The hotel reuses glass bottles - great. The lids however have mould inside them. More careful attention is needed to monitoring this and changing more frequently.

Liked · Kind personnel. Cosy small hotel. The original old window shutters kept the sun and heat outside. The location is super. Even the roadworks on the Prata did not disturb, they started work when we woke up, not because of them though. Disliked · How are you supposed to charge your phones? There was only one socket in the room. No breakfast buffet, you need to place an order in the evening before with only a few choises. Lots of choices were chargeable. Two small bread buns (dry ones), only one glass of juice/person is included?! I do not like the paper mug in the bathroom. It only works for one night, but not more! One day the other towel was gone, the other day the bathroom carpet?

We went to family, the communicating rooms helped a lot because we have a baby and a young man, but we managed to have our privacy even though we were always in the sight of them. We love the facilities of the kitchen, it's really like being at our home, but in Lisbon!

It was a great stay overall, the manager was wonderful as were all of the staff. They went above and beyond - so massive shout out to them all. They were very inclusive and welcoming. It’s really well located. Knocked off one star due to the noise (not well insulated from it) and the fact the rooms were tiny! Including the bathroom, but loved the Rituals product though. Additionally, the breakfast wasn’t to my taste albeit plenty for most to enjoy. Otherwise I was super happy with the location, we had amazing food places nearby and tourist attraction close by. The train station was located a short walk away. Despite Lisbon being a very steep walk everywhere, and our hotel was on a steep road, it wasn’t that difficult to get around at all. All in all, a great place to stay in Lisbon! Perfect location for a quick weekend getaway.

Exceptional location..... but since we started validating the reservation there was nothing more than unsatisfactory: the application does not recognize the reservation before the trip; once we acceded there and followed the problems in the allocation of the room - once and again The application did not give us the apartment number - we had to contact them and, as it was impossible for you to access the payment of the tourist fees through their application, we had to provide you with the card data. We received a message on the mobile saying that transfer was not allowed because the apartment account was excluded from transfers??? . We had to leave the amount in the room - they didn't leave us a check of the payment until we asked you to do so. The right room but we had to leave a note to heal some weaknesses they were in inside - to avoid then bearing us the costs .... shouldn't have been repaired before our inside? - The fact that the order is leaving the bags when leaving the apartment does not seem normal when it is a service offered freely in any place - if we consider that the apartment is leaving before the required time and is it makes it easier to clean it-

The best is the location and size of the room that was very large. The room no. 1 is on the lower floor and is located next to the reception. Every time someone moves a chair, walks or speaks there, he falls a lot in the room. If you have a gentle dream, this is quite annoying. It also goes back quite when they walk in the upper room. As it is a hostel, I didn't expect cleaning service in the room. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. This is reflected, but for that price it is very good. There are coffee, some kinds of tea, cereals, fiber, milk and bread. I think you can ask eggs too. What I have to mention is that the milk is not cooled on a table.
