I booked it based on the map. It looked like it was not far from the main road, so I thought the traffic would be convenient. But it was not. You need to drive a short distance to get in and out, which is troublesome when you meet other cars. The hotel itself is very good. Christmas is coming soon, and the decoration is very warm. The breakfast is also delicious.

The location is very good, clean and tidy, and the service is great. The location is a bit remote, but you can experience the rare British rural life, which will be a rare experience.

Booked a table last minute. It had a lovely atmosphere and was a proper pub like place. We ordered nachos to start, took a little while but was yummy. I had lasagne, this was very nice however seemed more like 90% beef and 10% pasta. The flavour was alright but I did have to leave a lot of the beef out as it was too much just plain beef and not enough pasta sheets at all. My partner had the chicken burger which was good. We would’ve stayed for dessert but the none of the options really suited us and seemed a standard for a restaurant, it would’ve been nice to have something different. All reasonable pricing, staff were polite, friendly and happy to assist. Also loved the uniform and decoration throughout.

I had the fish pie from the specials, and it was yum! good ratio of fish and mash with a really nice crisp cheesy top. The servers were really nice and helpful, accommodating to changes to food well. I would recommend for a great casual pub dinner with friends or family!

Very pleasantly surprised with the hotel combination just off the main road very well insulated from the sound. Room was clean and tidy and the ensuite very good with a nice shower. The pub itself was really excellent and we enjoyed being in there with the food being hot and very tasty indeed. The pub itself has many little rooms and nooks and crannies! Breakfast was as good as you would want with everything on the menu and hot and plentiful. Unfortunately the weather was against us so exploring the great outdoors was pretty impossible however we will be back and will certainly recommend it to other people who are coming to the area.

This place is absolutely brilliant. Stayed for three nights. Can’t fault it. Maybe one thing shelvesneed in lovely bathroom for toothpaste shower gel etc. other than that perfect. Our room was excellent for disabled husband. Could sit out from double doors to garden own chairs with umbrella. The food was excellent for dinner and good choice at breakfast. Brilliant landlady. Superb staff and credit to the place helpful nothing to much trouble . Good choice of menu. We had mussels in garlic pork stroganoff burger amongst other things all excellent bit pricey but worth it. We will definitely return and ask for same room

Given a lovely welcome by the owner on our arrival. Clean room in adjacent building. Welsh cakes on bed where "bendigedig". Had a really lovely meal in the pub. Breakfast also served in same room. Could not fault anything. We also stayed on our return journey from holiday, but unfortunately a bit disappointed. The room was superb. The staff where all different from our first stay a week previously and not as experienced. The meal we had was very bland. I dont think the chef was on duty that night. Everything was covered in pea shoots as well as the breakfast. Forgot to bring our toast until we where getting up to leave even though we did remind them. Still, We all have off days, it will not deter us from staying again if passing that way.
