We go to Denmark predominantly for biking, but this time around just for a family outing. Going from Southern Norway to Jutland is a piece of cake - you can go by fast ferry from both the town of Larvik and from further south Kristiansand. The trip takes less than four hours, but it’s a treacherous body of water and summerstorms may upset your plans, which it did for us. We were at loss for alternative routings and explained the situation to the hotel where we should spend four nights. Albeit we overshot the deadline for cancellagions the good people and owners of Kallehavegaard Badehotel were extremely nice and emphatic. That was the overture to what now became a three night stay, and the positive vibes were piling up during our stay. The surroundings are fabulous, close to a fantastic beach close to 20 kilometers long, and centrally located in the sleepy town of Løkken. We dined at three or four restaurants which all in all were nice, we had takeaway frikadeller (meatballs) directly from the *****ershop and within walking distance to most places. A besutiful stay, with beautiful hosts and a lovely, windy weather.
