Sanctum Regent's Park

London|2.62km from Space NK Hampstead
The booking and check-in was very smooth. The lobby is impressive with a 24-hour front desk service. We checked in late in the night and were very impressed with the generously size 3 bedroom apartment with four full bathrooms. Our family of four became six after two nights and five for the next few days. In the last four days we were only four people in this huge apartment. All was going well until the day… Our grandson came back from London Zoo with face paint which we later decided to remove before he went to bed. We used one of the towels (wetting it) and got the paint out. Agreed that 1/20th of the towel was stained which is typical but having done that several times back home, we knew it needed just one wash for the colour to get off the towels. My husband got a call a few hours later on the apartment phone, from one of the reception staff by the name of Mr. Krzysztof, telling him that there was blood on the towel and it was ruined. Several points to make here- when you assume something or go on heresay you always give the other accused party a chance to respond. My husband told him it was face paint but Mr. Krzysztof stood his ground also ignoring the black paint that was with the red paint (spider man theme ). Secondly, he did not ask how the guest was if he had seen “so much blood”. He could not be bothered and said we had to compensate for the towel! I went downstairs a little while later and had a conversation with him in a stern tone but never raising my voice. He refused to believe me so I asked to speak with the manager. He called the manager and told him that I was screaming in the lobby. The second staff at the front desk is proof to the fact that I did not raise my voice. Viola! The manager voiced the same words as Mr. Krzysztof and said it was blood! All based on what was told to them by housekeeping who did not speak a word of English. I told him that this was a insignificant cost to the company if at all the towel was ruined and he said it was not as they were “a small company” and could not absorb the cost. I didn’t know that there were many meanings to the term “small company”. It also meant that you had to go to front desk to get extra sheets, you are given only seven towels as that is the number of maximum guests allowed in the apartment of that size and no more (they actually made me go and check how many towels and hand towels I had and report back to them so they could decide if I could have more) and also, all the toiletries are just a starter kit as per the manager. You have to then use your own and nothing is replenished. There was one day that two towels were not replaced in one of the bathrooms and they refused to believe me that the towels were not replaced. What is it with these towels! The conversation ended with me asking them to wash the towel and see the outcome. A wet towel came back to me a little while later, with tiny smears of red still on them. I washed it in the apartment , completely back to its sh

Quality Hotel Hampstead

Stayed for the second time, I feel very kind, my English is not very good, the service staff is very responsible. Breakfast is very generous, in addition to omelettes and toasts, it is full every day. Close to the subway station, easy to eat and supermarket nearby. There are also Chinese restaurants, and the taste is ok. I like to live here. The room is relatively comfortable, quiet and safe.

I was worried because it was a 28-person room, but it felt rather safe, the service was good, and I never had to wait for a shower! It's a bit far from the center of the city, but I think it's 10 minutes away by subway! The subway also comes every 1-2 minutes, so there was no inconvenience. The beds are soft and there are blackout curtains on each bed, so I slept soundly!
Charlotte Guest House

When my husband and I decided to extend our stay in London and needed last-minute accommodations, Charlotte Guest House was recommended to us by a family friend who lives nearby. We couldn't have been happier with our stay here! Charlotte Guest House offered just what we were looking for: a no-frills room that was reasonably priced, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and appointed with a kitchenette, ample shelving, and a freshly updated bathroom. Though we ourselves didn't take advantage of these spaces, there was a communal gathering space and kitchen for guests. Checking in and out was simple and Eddie, who welcomed us at the front desk, was hospitable, helpful, and informative throughout our stay there. Any other staff member we ran into during our stay was similarly friendly, accommodating, and eager to offer assistance. The location was great, too--just a few minutes' walk away from the West Hampstead stop on the Jubilee line and more or less right across the way from a street full of great restaurants, cafes, and cute shops. We took full advantage of the breakfast discount offered to guests of Charlotte Guest House at the nearby Lola's Cafe, which has a fantastic menu, quality food, and pleasing ambience. Without reservation, I would recommend Charlotte Guest House!

This delightful hotel has outstanding decor. It was clearly the home of a very well to do family in Edwardian/Victorian times. The furniture and paintings give it a very special atmosphere. The service is both efficient and friendly.
Primrose Guest House

I stayed at this peaceful, clean, well appointed house for 3 nights and will definitely consider staying again should I be in the area in the future. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lehka greeted me and helped me with my luggage even though I was early for check in and the can do attitude was consistent through out my stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the offer of a full English breakfast from Newton the first morning and it was delicious. For vegans there is a version of the English breakfast. The breakfast room also offers coffee ,fruit, yogurt, juice and pastry. The location is near restaurants, shops, Belsize Park metro and Hampstead Heath ( don't miss out on this beautiful, serene park with lots of trails and ponds). The Primrose is situated on a lovely ,quiet, residential street. I did not have a need for parking so not sure what that entails. Don't hesitate to stay here!
