I always enjoy my visits to this hotel. Normally, I am able to request my favourite room, #5 on the first floor of two (no lift). On my most recent occasion, I was informed at check-in that there was a problem with the window blind, which is huge. The young man on reception was able to fix it, although there was still a bright external light which cast its beams onto the left side of the bed and pillow. The only quick solution was to lean the handle of my suitcase against the side of the blind to eliminate as much light as possible. Another guest had made a similar recent comment. Maybe a new rail and fixings wouldn't go amiss? Otherwise, the room was fully carpeted and extremely cosy, offering a comfortable double bed, TV, storage and hanging spaces, plenty of sockets, a well-stocked tea and coffee tray and no bright internal lights. There is also a fan with variable speeds. The shower room is quite small, but perfectly adequate, with a powerful shower, and offering high quality shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand and body lotion. Even the loo paper is not the usual thin offering! White, fluffy towels are in abundance, too. I would imagine no two rooms are the same. Even though the hotel is a five minute walk to the station, the trains do not disturb you. Also, the first floor is directly above the bar and eating areas, but there is no sound. So, thank you, Station Hotel. I'm sure I will return soon.

We stayed at the hotel as a family of three during Christmas holidays and could only say the words if praise. Everything was ecxellent, from the staff, check-in, restaurant (we had breakfast), offer, room, spotless. The location is great, only 12 min to the city centre by bus, the bus stations are right across the road. There's a supermarket,a pharmacy right oppossite the hotel,so you have everything you need.Perfect! We will definiteky come again on our next trip to London.

Absolutely cracking burgers, must try if visiting. Vegan options and a selection of poutine style loaded chips. Relaxed atmosphere lots of space to work whilst lunching too. Will definitely be returning soon, lovely staff make all the difference. Many thanks!

We stayed here a few years ago and thought at the time it was 'okay'. It must've had a revamp since then because I found it had really improved. The room was laid out well to give plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. My friend took first shower and said it took a while to warm up but it was fine when I got in. Everything was spotlessly clean and we had a really good nights sleep. We arrived quite late and there was still someone on reception who checked us in quickly. It's a bit far out from the city centre but worked well for us for one night. Would stay here again!

The worst hotel stay I have experienced! Arrived after a hectic day at work only to be greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I travel and stay in London on a weekly basis and have never experienced customer service like it. Receptionist was agrresive in attitude and demanded a cash payment of £100 on entering the hotel. I explained I had paid in adance in full via booking.com with no notification at time of booking that a deposit would be required. Rudely demanded of photo ID and notified a charge of £250 would be taken for evidence of drug use. I am a professional business customer and this was so poorly judged by staff. I was told I was emailed on booking that cash deposit of £100 would be demanded on booking 2 weeks prior. Communication was provided on the day at 9.00am via booking.com email and was not seen due to being at work. Was told I should walk to a cash point in the rain with little direction as to where the nearest cash point was. It was pouring with rain, getting dark and I was a lone female customer. Receptionist replied that she was happy to cancel my booking if I preferred . The day of the queen's return to buckingham Palace with no chance of securing an alternative hotel. After returning with the cash I was given a key card with no holder with room number on. I made my way to my room after clarifying room number twice, staff area doors in corridors left open exposing dirty laundry, key card device broken off door, semen stains on wall, public hair on top of bed sheets. Mortified, so much so I didn't get under the sheets for fear of what I would find. Tried to have a wash to find the shower gel had been topped up 3 quarters with water from a previous guest. Worst stay of my life!!! Unsafe and should be closed down!!

It didn't meet expectations and transportation was not very convenient, if you need to choose subway travel. We were three adults and four children, and the rooms were scattered and very small. A master bedroom has a toilet. It looks like the washbasin should be the same size as a washbasin. Basically wash your face and brush your teeth. All the water is spilled on the floor. In addition, we are on the first floor, next to the road, not quiet enough. The other two children slept in the extra bed in the living room. The most unacceptable thing was the floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the first floor. The blinds were installed. Those curtains were outdated and they were not covered at all. Fortunately, the children lived. If it is an adult staying, it is estimated that you have to wear a coat to sleep, and you have to make up in your mind countless times. Someone will cut the window while you are asleep. Have been to London many times, this stay is really not recommended!
