We stayed at the Montcalm east this weekend - a group of 4 ladies away for a weekend to see a show and shopping. We couldn’t have wished for any more from the hotel. We chose the Montcalm east as we wanted to stay in Shoreditch rather than Mayfair where we have stayed previously and we were so happy with our choice. Shoreditch itself was vibrant, energetic and full of so many interesting places to eat and things to see. It also seemed quieter than areas we have previously stayed and this was welcomed. From the moment we arrived at the hotel the reception staff greeted us in a professional and friendly manner and the concierge helped us with taxis throughout our stay and one young man on the door went above and beyond to help us which we really appreciated. We had an adjoining room on the 14th floor and all of us were extremely impressed with the modern style of the rooms, the decor was sleek and stylish, the bathrooms bright and spacious with a great big backlight mirror which was perfect for us when getting ready in the evenings. The beds were comfy and the whole hotel itself was immaculately clean. We also used the spa one morning and thought the Dyson hairdryers were a great touch, the showers agin spacious and quality amenities provided. We had a relaxing swim and used the day beds and it was a great way to relax in the morning. The breakfast was perfect, a good choice of cold options plus cooked breakfast, eggs any way you want them, fresh juices and coffee. We even had waffles one morning and they were lovely. We thought the location of the hotel was perfect for us - only a short taxi or Uber ride to London Bridge for our return journey and within walking distance of great little funds like box park - we thoroughly enjoyed it there. Overall we couldn’t fault anything about the hotel, a 5 star modem and trendy hotel in a great location - we will be looking to come back at some point in the future to explore more of what the area has to offer I’m sure.

My son and I stayed here last week for 3 nights. Hotel has very good location and was very clean. But nothing more good I can say about this place. The room was extremely small. Only because we came with small hand luggage, we can put it under the bed, with bigger luggage it was big problem. There is no place at all to take clothes from the luggage. Even not so easy to pass through the room because all the room space was the bed with few centimeters free space to pass. We really didn’t want some big room, because we came to be outside most of the time but every morning was challenging to dress up. Coffee machine also was out of service. There is paid service to store luggage for 12 hours after check out, and I have not any problem to pay for this service, but I expected there is toilet when we came to get our luggage before we leave to airport. And it’s not.

We stayed here for one night on Tuesday 20th Feb in rooms 302 & 306. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Old Street station - you turn right just passed the Sainsburys local shop and it is just around the corner. We checked in around 4pm - the 2 members of staff who checked us in were very polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms were a very good size with a huge TV opposite the bed and a seating area with fridge and 2 bottles of complimentary water in the room. The shower room was a good size and the shower was a double unit so plenty of room to move with a rain shower and a hand held attachment which could be taken off the wall. There is good quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower and handwash and body wash by the sink. There is a hairdryer and iron/ironing board in the room. Tea & coffee is also provided. The double bed was very comfortable with high quality bed linen Breakfast was included - there was plenty of choice. Cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, croissants, bread, jams, marmalade, orange or apple juice, selection of teas and coffee. The hot selection included bacon. beans, eggs, sausage, mushrooms and tomato and was all very tasty. Cannot fault the service at this hotel and it is all spotless. Check in was very efficient. The room card is required to use the lift from the ground floor - this did seem to be a bit hit and miss and sometimes we had to scan it 4 or 5 times before it worked.

Book for my son to stay in London for a night. It’s great that he got a upgrade and he enjoyed his stay in the hotel

I don't normally write reviews on TripAdvisor, but my recent visit to The Brush, the restaurant at the newly opened art'otel by Park Plaza, certainly merits one. Living locally, my partner and I hadn't planned to stay overnight, but were eager to explore the dining options. From the outset, the quality of the food impressed us. We enjoyed some expertly mixed cocktails served by Jozef, who I believe was the manager on duty. His recommendations were spot on, including a perfectly cooked ribeye steak that was a highlight of our meal. However, what truly inspired me to write this review was the exceptional service provided by Jola, the host. Not only did she ensure that our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable, but she also went above and beyond by giving us a tour around the facility. She showed us around the bar and restaurant, took us up to the beautiful lobby with its stunning fireplace (I’ve attached a picture for reference), and even pointed out the stage set up for live music performances. Jola's enthusiasm extended to a detailed explanation of the hotel's art concept, particularly highlighting the works of Dean Stockton, better known as D*Face. His vibrant, rebellious street art, which adorns parts of the hotel, brings a unique cultural flavour to the space, echoing his impactful contributions to the street art scene globally. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed by our entire experience. Thanks to Jola and the team, we are already planning to return with friends for another meal and will certainly be regulars at the bar. Beautiful and clean hotel with wonderfully attentive staff. We booked this hotel at the last minute (arrived less than an hour after booking because our previous hotel was not what we would expect it to be,) and we were immediately relieved upon entering the Westin. It smells like a spa, the staff welcomed our tired family with juice, and after checking in, Krishna (the front desk manager at the time) provided our children with teddy bears and passport books for them to collect stamps from staff throughout the hotel. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming arrival. The next morning we were attended to by Neal in the hotel restaurant for breakfast, and he was very kind and considerate as well. The location of the hotel is by St. Paul’s Cathedral and plenty of pubs and eateries. We were very happy with the location, cleanliness, and safety of the hotel.

Booked a cosy twin room with no window, the cheapest option. It was pretty small, but extremely well designed with wall hanging hooks, drop down tables with power sockets and a safe in the bedside table. Also a dial for mood lighting in different colours. I had a very good sleep due to the room being so dark and no noise at all. The shower was excellent. Hot drinks were available at reception. The Continental Breakfast was good, lots of choice. I would stay again.

I turned up ready to put my legs up and rest before my early morning train. I was not looking for anything special but there is basic and then there is this! I was originally put in LG5 and told to go up the stairs, along the corridor and down the stairs. I followed the instructions but, not only could I not find the room, neither could a member of staff. Another one told me to go back along the corridor, up some stairs and down some stairs. I got to the staircase at the end of the corridor and it was blocked by piles of laundry and laundry bags! I went back to the reception desk and explained that neither myself nor staff could find the room. He agreed to give me a different one (a nicer one he said!) and said to go up the stairs and the room was on the right. He didn’t, however, give me a room number. I then started trying to get into the room on the right, then the next room on the right, then the next room on the right before I came up and went back to reception once again! He told me my room number and off I went again. I opened the room door to find a bed with no pillows or duvet and no bigger than a cupboard. I shut the door and headed back to the reception. I explained that I was not staying in that room and before I could explain why, he asked, “is it not clean?!” I explained that not only was it not clean, there were no facilities. He then snapped, “so, you just want to cancel this booking? Fine!” The carpets in the corridors were filthy, the staff couldn’t care less if they tried and the room was beyond basic. I left and booked the premier inn. Much better!

Good location near Russell Square station, walking distance to Tottenham Court Road, Euston (15min). Room is basic and comfortable. Doors slam very loudly and cause disturbance at night. There was a function one night that lasted till almost midnight and the noise/music reverberations travelled a couple of floors up.

What an amazing hotel and and even better experience! Check in was super smooth and very friendly reception team. Our room was just amazing, the bed was ultra comfortable with the usual high quality linens which made for a perfect night’s sleep. Lots to do in the hotel even if it is just sitting in the lounge seats watching the world go by in the bustling Leicester Square. Cocktail choices were very unique and perfectly blended, food was just as good with some amazing dishes. There was a Souk inspired evening when we were there which we loved as the music was great to listen to whilst having a few drinks. I loved the breakfast being à la carte as opposed to a buffet as the service is much more personable. Can’t wait to come back!
