Had a great stay room amazing food excellent great Staff we had a problem with a meal was sorted in no time great customer service great hotel ludlow great place to visit loads of nice shops and bars great walks would recommend to any one thinking of going

Nice enough hotel. Windows didn’t hardly open so very warm room. Towels not replaced after cleaning. Condiments not replaced. Toilet not cleaned and tea stains left in the sink. Can’t comment on food as didn’t eat there but colleagues were disappointed with portion size.

It could have been better! We stayed in a junior suite, which was quite nicely decorated but very dark as only only one smallish window and therefore we feel there should be more lighting over the bed. The TV was also positioned to the side of the bed which made viewing whilst in bed a bit difficult! We stayed on a two night half board based - the breakfast on both days was passable, but nothing to rave about. We had issues with our evening meals on both nights - on the first evening we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food, which when it arrived wasn't that good, I had the cheese souffle which was very over cooked and more like a cheese flan! My husband had the duck pate, which was okay, but then you can't go wrong with pate really! We then both had the smashed burgers, which were totally over cooked and very greasy, but by this time we were over hungry so we didn't eat much of the burgers! Disappointing to say the least as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary! The second evening meal started better, we both had the prawn and crayfish cocktail, which was good. I had the lamb shank which was again very over cooked and so dry, meaning I couldn't eat it. My husband had fish and chips, which was greasy but on the whole okay. We made a complaint on both nights which the restaurant manager on the second evening dealt with effectively, but on the first night this wasn't the case (different manager). Would we go back to this hotel, probably not. Which is a shame because this used to be a lovely place, when we last visited there 15+ years ago!

i'm not reviewing the hotel and facilities as i didn't stay there. this is a review of the outside and i did pop in quickly to have a look. anyway, what can i write? you've seen the photos, right? a remarkable building. ludlow is small so you shouldn't miss it

We stayed at The Feathers for a couple of nights with a group of friends. Room was clean and tidy and the shower was wonderful. Not a huge room but a king size bed. We were at the back overlooking the car park and as we had the window open we were disturbed by the refrigerator or generator during the night. Closed the window the second nigh and all quiet. They do provide a fan. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite. More could be made of the character of the place but very comfortable. As vegetarians the menu was quite limited but they did do a larger starter as a main course for my husband. There is a veggie breakfast although they didn't have veggie sausages one morning but gave us extra mushrooms. Good location in centre of glorious Ludlow. Would definitely visit agin

I stayed here whilst attending events at the Ludlow Piano Festival. I had liaised with the Hotel before I arrived to arrange a meal slightly earlier than when the restaurant opened in order to enable me to eat before attending a performance. The hotel couldn't have been more helpful. The food was also stunning (lamb shank). I stayed two nights and staff were friendly and helpful and my room was lovely. The ONLY criticism I have is the very loud noise from the back of the building which I could hear even with doors closed. This was either from an extractor fan or air conditioning but you could hear it constantly. I hope to stay again at this hotel but next time (now I know this) I will ask for a room at the front. Again - this is my only negative and why I have not given five stars. Otherwise it was lovely - especially for a solo woman visiting the town. I felt safe and well looked after. Thank you.

A Charming, historic hotel on the main road, but quiet. The room was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and clean. The bar and sitting areas are comfortable. The food in the restaurant was okay, not exceptional, but the service was very good. I appreciated that they have a covered outdoor sitting area. Parking was convenient, but there was a charge.

We went to get some lunch with my family in Wenesday,the pub looks good,our coffee and drinks great but our steaks were so tasty that we wanted to return for dinner also and we did.For dinner we had burgers wich didn't dissapoined, thank you chef Ramona

A superb small hotel A five star service for a modest price The food was excellent, the room spacious, modern but also with many historic features. A jewel of a place. I was pleasantly surprised as I wasn’t expecting this level of service, facilities and food for the price I was paying. I would strongly recommend it.
