The Royal Lion Hotel

Friendly receptionist who took us to our room. The room was spotlessly clean with white duvet cover. Bathroom was good with toiletries needed. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely old fashioned pub. Stopped off for lunch whilst visiting Lyme Regis. Lovely welcome, calm a**osphere. Great menu choices and reasonably priced. Arrived hot and well presented, didn't have to wait too long either. Good vegetarian choices

Hall & Woodhouse hotel and clearly some inves**ent underway as we stayed in a deluxe balcony refurbished room with a lovely seaside feel and some nice touches including Scottish Fine soap products. Lovely sea views from the small furnished balcony, fluffy towels, Robert’s radio, comfy bed and a hospitality tray which was refreshed each day. Warm welcome on arrival and WOW …. we were shown to our room and even offered help with our luggage. The warmth continued thru out our short stay; all the staff we met were kind, friendly and engaging . We only had breakfast but that was taken in a lovely large dining room and a mixture of continental and cooked to order hot breakfasts . Not a huge choice but all tasty and well presented. Indoor pool not the warmest and sauna and jacuzzi out of order but with the hottest ☀️ weekend of the year so far, we headed for the beach.🏖️ Have known this hotel for over 40 years and seen many changes but Hall & Woodhouse have a plan and it’s a good one. Would recommend you try it and what a bonus to be able to park your car in the centre of town . Many thanks all and esp Sharon for managing our booking . We will be back and certainly considering some of your other hotels too.

Very nice pub restaurant with excellent clean rooms close to the beach. Good food too for both breakfast and dinner. Peaceful stay in a lovely old building with a fresh modern extension at the back. Very allergy aware! We had dinner in the bar on two evenings as it was good.

Wonderful staff and very nice rooms! Delicious breakfast! Pool and restaurant were both down. This can happen and it isn't a catastrophe, but it does rule out a perfect score. Would definitely visit again if the opportunity arises and would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Lion. Right in the middle of Lyme Regis, plenty of parking. Nice and Clean. Staff were nice.

Lovely room with amazing view perfect for our 25th Amniversary. We will definitely go back.

We live in Lyme Regis and consider the Royal Lion our local. We’ve been coming here for years. But since Hall and Woodhouse took over the food has gone from honest pub grub to gloopy ‘ kit-form’ food. Last night we had a terrible meal. The best I can say is wonderful old building, shame about the food! Pull your sock up Hall and Woodhouse!
