This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

So the good bits first .. Location - edge of town, so cheaper than the centre for everything but also convenient as only 5mins to the tourist part. Staff- Very friendly and helpful Breakfast - we didn’t book but it looked reasonable Improvements needed.. 1) This is not my idea of boutique there are at least 4 floors and over 100 rooms 2) The balcony is Juliette so no room for sitting but you could see the castle, mountains and Cathederal from ours 3) this is not set up for long stays , as you’ll see from the picture I mainly had to live out of my suitcase - no storage for clothes ( I saw previous complaints so did take a few hangers but hadn’t quite factored in NO drawers at all and just a suit hanger thing) 4) no bin in the room 5) most importantly for those with mobility issues ( I cannot do stairs easily due to prosthetics) not all rooms are accessible by lift - this is not shown or explained on the website . I attach a picture of the stairs to access the front rooms. In my opinion this is a great ‘weekend’ or ‘business trip’ hotel but it still has a lot of improvements needed to make it Boutique and good for holiday makers. TOP TIP- visit the ‘authentic Sherry Bar ‘ just round from the hotel - an experience not advertised anywhere but not to be missed !

We chose to stay here due to its proximity to the main train station which is adjacent to the hotel as we were heading home in the morning. It is a perfect spot for such an overnight stay. It is quite a bustling area which is about 30 minutes or so walk to the old town if you were using it as a base for a city visit. It’s not the most attractive looking or welcoming hotel from the outside but it had all the facilities we needed for our one night stay. The bed was very large and comfortable and the room furnished well enough in a very Nordic minimalist style. The chairs weren’t easy to relax in and you were obliged almost to use the bed instead - a comfortable armchair would have been helpful. The room was bright and had all the facilities required. Breakfast in the morning was taken early in the large dining area and the food was fresh and plentiful. Unusually there were no English speaking tv channels available. You are only a couple of minutes from the main train station which is housed in a nice shopping complex. We ate in a very nice Korean restaurant across from the hotel called Chingu which was excellent.

Spent 4 nights here and were very pleased with the hotel. It’s a short walk to the train station, the old town and the shopping centre. We had a late flight and when I contacted the hotel, there was no problem with a late check-in. Room had a king size double bed, bed settee and kitchenette. The fridge contained complimentary water and there was a tea and coffee making facility. Bathroom was excellent; both a bath and a huge walk-in shower. Separate toilet, which is very useful. Despite the hotel being right in the town, soundproofing was excellent m, so we were not disturbed, despite the Holy Week processions. My only gripe is there were lots of shelves, but only one drawer. I don’t like my undies being on display, so removed the hair drier from the drawer so that husband and I could share the space. Also only 3 hangers and no hooks for coats etc. Please supply more hangers!!!!! We didn’t eat in the hotel, as there are so many places nearby. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Would definitely return.

Stayed at Hotel beginning of October for 3 nights. Brilliant location if travelling from Airport by train (10 minutes & about 3 euros. Hotel attached to Maria Zambrano train station (don't go to Central!) 2 minute walk from escalators. Also convenient enough for Malaga old town. Staff were all really friendly & helpful. Room was good - large, well equipped, large comfy bed - air con a bit noisy. Small roof top pool with bar a great place to relax. Breakfast buffet brilliant - OK the scrambled eggs were a bit overdone, but even the toaster made good toast quickly (usually the bane of hotel breakfasts!) And a whole honey comb with real honey on offer. We really enjoyed our stay - wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were staying in Malaga.

We loved this hotel. It has an elevator (lift) Our room was spacious, very clean and the beds were comfy and made up daily. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast was included for us at Hotel Don Paco, about 2 blocks away. The breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs, bacon, mini croissants and bread, cereal, fruit, coffee and several juices. The hotel is just a short walk from the Maria Zambrano train station, perhaps 15 minutes. We also found several tapas bars a couple blocks away, plus an ATM 4 blocks. HINT: We found it hard to flag down taxis in the vicinity of Hotel Zeus. The best way we found was to walk to the train station, where there is always a taxi waiting!

The hotel is excellent for this price and class. Sufficiently spacious room (510). With air conditioning, which was also working in April (we are doing so again) and free WiFi. The rooms are very clean. Good, very wide beds. A spacious inlet shower (specially when booking is requested; the whole of the rooms has a bathtub to shower). From the train from the airport it is 50m walk to the hotel. Very handy! The breakfast is a wide choice and is until 10:30 pm. Not quick, so there is only one coffee machine. That's too little. The hotel is located on the edge of the historical center. In 10 minutes walking you are at the cathedral.
