Stayed for two days with family at Karma Utopia. A substandard stay with services and food quality that leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are small, bathroom faucets leaking, the water takes ages to get warmed. Complimentary breakfast was of a poor quality with hardly any variety on offer, the staff was apologetic for most things that were missing.

***ali is beautiful when you see the views around and Karma Utopia is a great place to stay there. The hotel has been recently done up and the rooms are well appointed, though a bit small. he location is comfortable and near the Hadimba Temple, so at times it gets a bit crowded. It is located close to the Mall Road, a few minutes ride in an auto (tuk tuk). The restaurant food is just OK and could do with some improvement, however the staff is warm and hospitable. It is definately a hotel to be considered if visiting ***ali.

The entire unit was spik and span like a new property, the view from the room was breathtaking,staff was welcoming and polite. Food was well prepared and check-in and out was a breeze. Very satisfying stay

Two Nights as part of small group tour from UK. We arrived only a week after mass evacuations and disasterous flood damage across the whole area so this stay exceeded expectations.Breakfast appeared haphazardly and the menu was limited but no one in our group complained as so much destruction had decimated supplies and the food tasted GOOD! Only one staff member spoke English but they were all helpfull (sign langage) Spacious rooms,bathrooms.Balcony VIEW!!! Some refurbishment in progress. Slept very well. Located at end of lane of increasing steepness and narrowing width,amongst superb cedar woods.Not far to walk across river to Old ***ali.Walk down 20 mins through woods to New ***ali butTukTuk back! Little Museum attached.do visit to support.

We visited Karma Utopia Resort in ***ali in Jan '24 our stay was for 7 nights from 19 - 26 Jan '24. My main agenda to visit ***ali in Jan was to experience snowfall which did not happen during our stay. Apart from that our stay was wonderful, most memorable holiday in a very long time. The resort location though little away from the Mall road but it's Bang opposite Hidimba Devi temple. Our room was with balcony with a wonderful view. Very spacious & cozy rooms with spacious bathroom. They have a central heating system so however cold the temperature might be outside we were very comfortable once in our rooms. During our stay it was chilling cold with temperature going down to -1 & below at night, evenings would be so chilling cold that we had to rush to the comfort of our room. They had also provided us with an extra heater for the times when the central heating would be off. Must say Karma does take good care of their members. Kudos to that! The Staff here is very cooperative from the GM Mr. Tulsi, very humble & soft spoken always ready to help. Have to Thank him for giving my husband, Vijay Kothari the honour of unfurling the Flag on the republic day function at the resort for being the oldest member present, that was a very good gesture. Infact, Mr. Tulsi also sent a video of the first snowfall which happened just 4 days after we left i.e. on 30th Jan, thanks for being so thoughtful Special mention for all the Utopia front desk, house keeping & restaurant staff 1. Mr. ***oj at the front desk for always being helpful with a smile. 2. Mr. ***gtu & his housekeeping team for their services and maintaining all rooms & resort so well. Mr. ***gtu also video called us to show us the live snowfall, thank you for that! 3. The restaurant staff & chef for serving us the most yummy breakfast/meals. Yes, I would love to visit Karma Utopia again next Winter to fulfill my wish to experience live snowfall... Infact, I was just joking with my husband that we will go to ***ali every year until my wish is fulfilled 😉

This place used to be ranked in top 3 of TripAdvisor Pre Covid but is recently going through revamp and renovation hence the recent reviews of last 2 years May sound disappointing. The approach road to this location is bit narrow and slopy but an expert driver can negotiate. Once you checkin the view is breathtaking and you pay mostly for that. Food is another thing that is heavenly here. It’s bang next to Hadimba temple and has an own museum too. So in short it’s a great place to stay in. Do take room with balcony. We used to have our meals in garden and you can see the pic how heavenly it looked. Do check food pics also, we had a terrific ***ali trip and it’s also thanks to Utopia. Since it’s renovated and staff have been churned post covid service wise you may find some gaps. But it’s ***ageable. Strongly recommended.

Loved the stay, the staff is extremely nice and polite. The rooms are very classy and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Personally, my first visit to ***ali and this stay made my experience even better.

Pathetic experience, we have booked bonfire but they have cancelled it without any prior information, but when we have asked for, then the ***ager "Chander" has denied to organise bonfire very badly. After the multiple arguments they organise bonfire but without music, even they have straight denied to play light music and not serve the snack as well.

I opted for presidential suite from this property. However, the room and amenities were below average hotel. There was no proper response from the front desk. It was difficult to communicate to food service/ receptionist due to irregularities in the phone line which was setup in the room. The blankets were very thin and no room heaters were provided. We did remind several time by calling receptionist about the wifi and even in person communicated to receptionist to activate the wifi. However, there was no luck.
