Clean hotel with great hard working staff. Start of season,if there were any start up problems, the staff didn’t show it and made sure we were looked after.Special mention to Erol who worked tirelessly to ensure smooth running and to lovely waitress Kubra. Yes the beds are firm and the hotel is in a busy location so can be noisy but,at the same time the bus route is just outside, the shale beach is nearby and you can walk either way along the sea front. The pool area is clean as was the dining room. Food always nicely presented. Marmaris seems busy everywhere so it was nice to see the far end of the harbour near the castle and wish we’d had chance to see the old part of Marmaris. The hotel was good, would visit other places in Turkey.

Stayed here in September 2023 (our first time in Turkey) and I have to say we absolutely loved this hotel, from the receptionist to the bar staff there was nothing this hotel wouldn't do for us. After a rocky start (our own fault, not checking passport) this hotel went above and beyond for us. When we arrived there was wine and fruit left in our room for us to enjoy which I thought was a lovely touch. The food was also lovely, but one thing I will suggest is to get down to the restaurant early enough as the food does go quick but the snack bar food does be delish (especially the ice cream)!! There is also a little area down at the beach that is secured just for the guests of the hotel. The sunbeds do be gone quite quick if you don't get to the pool before 9am but that is the way it is in most hotels anyway. We loved this hotel that much that we have booked again to go back in June 2024

I felt compelled to write a review of Ada Julian after reading many mixed reviews on Trip Advisor before I visited myself. My brother and I stayed at Ada Julian in March. This time of year is the very start of the season for hotels/businesses in Turkey, meaning the area and hotel were considerably quieter than I was anticipating. With this, the hotel was blissfully quiet, with there being an abundance of sunbeds available (noted from other reviews that this is not the case in the summer months, as there are only ~100 beds for a hotel which can host >200 guests) (& including being able to get up in the morning at 10 o’clock and there be 95% of the beds still free), rarely having to queue at the bar for a drink, and there being a relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. I note that many reviews comment on the lack of evening entertainment, this is true, so if you wish to stay somewhere with daily entertainment, this won’t be the place for you! There are however many bustling bar’s within stumbling distance if you wish to have some more lively evenings. There are many redeeming factors of this hotel: the excellent service with attentive staff, the daily room cleaning service, the location which is very close to the beach and the selection of drinks and cocktails available. This being said, the hotel is certainly not faultless. The beds in the hotel I can only compare to that of sleeping on the floor. I understand that this is common in more eastern countries, but this was nearly impossible for me to adjust to. Secondly, the food. I appreciate that catering for a limited number of people in an all-inclusive manner is difficult, but the food available was very limited, and many evenings the food was questionably cold (cold rice, especially). The food for me was a great disappointment, and I warn future guests that by the end of the holiday you may be looking forward to returning home to a square meal! Location wise the hotel is in a great area, whether you want to sunbathe on the beach, walk around Marmaris or go shopping for all of your genuine fakes this is really the place! There is an Irish bar directly opposite the lobby of the hotel, which whilst I was there was not open (thankfully), but I can imagine this is quite a distraction in the summer months, and as seen from other reviews, causes a considerable noise problem for guests here. This is not to say that the hotel is not a good place to stay; I have had an immensely relaxing week away from my normal hectic life at home, with the staff being incredibly welcoming and the service has been incredible (I would like so specially mention Erol, who went above and beyond at every opportunity). In terms of value for money, this absolutely meets the expectations of what I paid for, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone considering visiting in the March/April time of year (as I can undoubtedly see the noise and small number of sunbeds being an issue in the summer months, and therefore summer

The staff here are amazing! Due to unforeseen circumstances, I ended up going on this holiday alone. With it being my first holiday I was very nervous but everyone was so warm and welcoming. The staff just can’t be faulted! Although the food was quite repetitive, there was something for everyone. Given how affordable the holiday was, it definitely lived up to my expectations. Visited the in-house spa quite a few times and it really was great! Can’t wait for my next visit!

From start to finish our experience at the Ada Julian, was brilliant. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful throughout the hotel. Mehmet (Guest relations) was absolutely fantastic. Before visiting the hotel I was in contact about arranging the ‘honeymoon days’ package as we went to Marmaris for our ‘mini moon’ just after our wedding. Mehmet ensured that everything was set up beautifully on arrival. He also helped us by contacting the TUI team, as we had left our passports on the transfer! He did everything he could to help track these down and keep us informed throughout the process! The whole facilities are absolutely immaculate, our bedroom was very spacious and had more than adequate room for clothing. For those people who have complained about the food being the same, I feel this is inaccurate. Each day there did tend to be chicken, beef and Turkey dishes but they were different types of cuisine offered giving the variety in taste. That being said there were common staples crispy chicken and chips for example. On Sunday there was even a traditional Sunday roast which was fantastic and exceeded expectations. The spa within the hotel was fantastic, as well. The staff were very attentive and the experience was definitely worth it. As for location, it is an ideal walk from the grand bazaar and castle. Close to the bars and restaurants if that’s something you would like to do, along with being around the corner from the beach. We didn’t go, but there were buses to Ichmeler which were about 50 lira. With excursions available through TUI, or Viator if you didn’t book through a provider, we used both due to the costings and availability, you can get collected from the hotel to go to Dalyan or Rhodes which were both great! The hotel seems to be addressing any things that people have referred to as improvements. The precious sun lounger issue is non existent we got loungers every day regardless of when we went down to the pool. Also there was still a lack of entertainment, which meant we spend most the evenings sat outside listening to the music:watching the entertainment at the Irish bar or going out. I believe this is something they are looking to add in the near future. Therefore, there will not be many other additional ways to improve the hotel, except maybe adding an ice cream dessert option to the evening meals, but that’s just being picky! A brilliant hotel, which exceeded all expectations. Thank you to Mehmet and staff for providing us with a fantastic ‘mini moon’

I must admit to feeling a bit concerned when we arrived because the brochure didn’t indicate that the hotel was on a main road and that our bedroom overlooked a supermarket. It was late and we had missed dinner but were offered a sandwich at 11.00 (could the hotel please note that it would be nice to offer some meat free ones) The bedroom was actually clean with excellent air conditioning, a great shower and a large comfortable bed. The pool area was crowded, although the pool itself was lovely, but sun beds were at a premium and I had to succumb to getting up early to secure one (something I am not very comfortable about doing). The pool bar manager was great, both serving behind the bar and taking orders from around the pool. The ice cream served between 4.30 and 5.30 was delicious. On the whole the food was pretty good and offered plenty of both hot and cold choices. If you are looking for an English breakfast you will need to visit one of the many bars nearby who are serving them. We did choose to eat out 3 nights but that was our decision not out of necessity. I didn’t think the drinks were very good although the red wine was better than either the white or rose. The staff were amazing - so helpful and courteous - preempting your every need. Particular mention should go to Ali, all the restaurant staff and Sammie the bar manager. We also received help and advice from Mehmet at guest services. Both my husband and I had a Turkish bath and massage for the 1st time in the hotel spa and it was wonderful - we can highly recommend it. Try not to stay by the pool all day - there is a promenade that runs the length of the beach filled with bars and restaurants and busses run frequently up and down the main road. They cost 15TL (about 40p) and can take you to the older part of Marmaris - the castle, fabulous marina, grand bazaar - well worth visiting. You must allow spare space in your suitcase for all the things you will buy but be prepared for lots of good natured hassle!!
