有名的老酒店，雖然老，設施很好，房間夠大、舒適，就是在酒店吃飯貴了點，也能理解，畢竟是在山上。
設施，衞生、環境、服務都到位。

上高地という立地で一流ホテルのあのサービスがうけられるというのは素晴らしい事だとおもいます。スタッフの方との距離感もよくてつかず離れずそして気にかけてくれています。ゆっくり過ごす事ができます。それが2015年から9年間伺っている理由です。

ベランダ付の部屋着に泊まりました。 生憎の天気で、ベランダはあまり利用出来ませんでしたので、フレンチの夕食が思い出になりました。 味は薄めで美味しかったです。サービスは過不足がなく、給仕の際の説明も一方的ではなく、会話のキャッチボールになっています。会話もおもてなしなんだなぁ、と感心しました。

山小屋風の外観が印象的で、この外観をみると今年も上高地に来たなー、と感慨深くなります。当然ながら都心のホテルとは違いますので、帝国ホテルの中でもゆったりとした空気感があり、お客さんリラックスさせてくれます。 お部屋のベランダからは上高地の山々が眺められ、上高地の散策とはまた違った過ごし方ができます。朝食も奇をてらったものではなく、帝国ホテルの王道と言ったクラシカルなアメリカンブレックファーストがいただけます。 ただそろそろ、水回りのリノベをされても良いかも知れませんね。

雰囲気が非常に良く、人気ホテルの意味がわかりました。歴史を感じるホテルです。スタッフの方の人数が多くて、他の日本のホテルでよく感じる、何か頼みたくても、スタッフがいないということはなかったように思います。
