The employee 々 was kind and polite and very sensitivity.
However, since it lives in the prefecture, it is a pity that it was politely refused to apply the application of Shinshu accommodation when it offered the application of ”it is not applied if it is not booked by the target plan”.
When I stayed at Feena Vista last week, I only booked it normally on the accommodation site at the same time when I checked in, ”the customer lives in Nagano Prefecture, so Shinshu accommodation is applied.” (I didn't know that there was a accommodation fee until then) I was able to fill in the necessary documents on the spot and cash back \5000 (1 night 2 people) when I checked out.

It is very close to Matsumoto Station, but not noisy at all. The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is simple but nutritionally balanced. Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto City Art Museum are within walking distance. It is convenient to eat, convenience stores and supermarkets around.

I stayed in the corona pass this time. The location is not blessed, but it can be said that it is a hotel with too much content to supplement it. First of all, the accommodation fee is cheap. It has increased recently in the city, but there is a large bath. You can lend your bicycle for free for sightseeing. The most important thing to evaluate is breakfast. There are many kinds in the buffet form, and most of them are not made and are thought to be handmade. There are many local specialties and I am soaked in the feeling that I came to Nagano. There are really few hotels with such content in business hotels recently. Although the cost-oriented management will be doing so, such a hotel wants to support more than heart. If you have the next opportunity, you will definitely take breakfast here.

~7min walk from Matsumoto station with many food options nearby, on usual days.
We went on 31 Dec to 1 Jan and the streets were empty; shops were 99% closed, except for Parco / big malls.
Hotel staffs were super helpful and friendly. I loved the shoe locker concept at the main entrance of the hotel; you lock your shoes and go barefooted around the hotel. Hotel staff assisted to check on available restaurant opening hours, as well as reservation on 31 Dec since we weren't sure if places were open.
Onsen (both indoor and outdoor) was the best, coupled with complimentary laundry facility (dryer at 100yen). Shampoo and body wash were all available for use.
There are vending machines at the common area outside the bathroom. Complimentary ramen at night (do check with the hotel on the timing). Soba over new year's countdown at midnight was yummy.
Wonderful overall experience. Will explore Onyado in other cities in future!

This hotel was booked as part of tour of Japan and we were there for only 1 night. As a solo traveller I was allocated a single room which was very small. It did however have a large bed which based on the space available was probably too big for the room. In order to get my case open to just get a small number of items I needed for one night I had to rearrange the chair and table so I could get the case open. The “closet” if you can call it that, was so small it only had 3 hangers and was probably only about 18inches wide right next to the door. I wouldn’t want to stay in this room more than one night. On the basis you pay a single supplement I find it poor that we solo travellers are given such small and inadequate rooms. In addition, as a tour from the UK, hardly anyone spoke English so it was hard to get the staff to understand when something went wrong, like my kettle which wasn’t working. In credit to the Reception staff, once I finally managed to get him to understand the problem he resolved it very quickly. Finally when we went to breakfast at 7.45am they were already full and we had to wait about 10 mins or so, then a number of the breakfast items had run out. There were 2 coach tours in and they didn’t seem to be able to cope or cater for the amount of people there. I did find the staff very friendly and helpful, so it certainly isn’t their fault. I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travellers.

This was one of the more ‘traditional’ hotels in which we stayed. It was on the older side. Our room was in what was described as the annexe. It was a Nice room of decent size. As is typical in Japan everything was provided plus the extra bonus of chargers and a blue tooth speaker if wanted. It was the only hotel during our stay to provide a Nespresso machine. . Very traditional pyjamas i Liked the room as there was a lobby area in which we could accommodate and easily access suitcases without falling over them. There was a Decent size bathroom with a small bath and shower. The whole room was very clean except for some mould on bathroom tiles. The Shower is good if your height is up to about 6’ 2”. Shower head holes needed bit of lime scale cleaning to flow better. Please note- the shower is in deep raised bath. This was Harder for a short person to get in and out. I Thought I would slip so installation of a grab handle or step would be very helpful. The Beds were very comfortable and the single beds are 4’ which is a good size. The Room did get cold but good heating provided. Plenty of plugs. Room was Very quiet. Breakfast mainly traditional Japanese but some limited western food available. Very good Japanese breakfast. Public baths are on site . There is free Shuttle departing at fixed times to the station which you pre book. Suggest you book the night before. There is a small Cafe attached to the hotel with a small shop. Good atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Location within walking distance of anything you want to see in Matsumoto and the station.

We stayed at a number of Ryokans of various price points throughout our honeymoon trip to Japan and this one was such a pleasant surprise. The decor has a throwback 70s-80s vibe that would suit a Wes Anderson film and the attitude is a nice mixture of traditional ryokan hospitality and modern style. The rooms are spacious for ryokans (which, warning to Americans, might feel smaller than western hotels), and the baths are just lovely. We used both the public and private baths, and enjoyed our time in both. If this hotel wanted to rebrand as a quirky, hip spot for young westerners they could, but you get the sense that they enjoy catering to their Japanese clientele and providing an affordable yet luxurious experience. We spent one night at a $600 a night ryokan and the experience between the two was honestly comparable. Furthermore, Matsumoto is a lovely town, and if you want to add a day trip to your Japanese itinerary do yourself a favor and stay at the beautiful Hotel Tamanoyu.

We wanted to treat ourselves for an anniversary so booked in for a night. It is not cheap - we paid SGD 770 for the night, but it was a good experience all the way from check in to check out. The price includes dinner, which was plated beautifully and featured items like lobster sashimi, beef stew and bracken tempura. Breakfast was done buffet style and had both Japanese and Weatern dishes. There are onsens as well. We opted to pay 3000 yen for a private couple onsen for 45 minutes, but there are also public baths on the 4th floor. The bath on the 3rd floor, just off reception, switches between males in the morning and the ladies in the evening. The room was largish and I loved that the yukatas came in a variety of sizes. There is no room clean up till check out, but they do lay futon beds in the room. The room was well appointed and had a great view, small fridge, a safe, and coffee and tea making facilities. There was even a coffee bean grinder. There were ample power points. Wifi was okay though it did drop now and then. There are separate toilet and shower rooms. There is a souvenir cum general store in the lobby where you can even buy condensed milk ice cream. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do have a free shuttle bus from 5 pm at the Matsumoto train station to the hotel, and one the following morning at 9 am and 10 am back to the station.

Stayed at 2 Hoshino Kai resorts this trip and I would say the service at Kai Alps was much better than Kai Matsumoto. The food at Kai Matsumoto was very much better than Kai Alps though. So all in all, we really enjoyed staying at Hoshino resorts and cannot wait to explore more areas! When staying at Hoshino resorts, I really do recommend getting the special dinner and in room onsen.

Stayed on weekdays. It is a great inn with parking lots and hot springs. The day I stayed was 8 the view bath on the floor was assigned to the man hot water. On the 8 floor, there are open-air baths and jacuzzi, and during the daytime, the distant view is enjoyed, and there is a body in the hot spring. The next morning, when I asked for a departure, I brought the car to the entrance and prepared it. Next time I will come to enjoy only hot water slowly. Thank you for your care.

Outstanding
GGuest UserVery relaxed and remodeled from the ancient house design backpacker inn, public spaces and rooms are clean and comfortable, very friendly to long-term travelers, with washing machines, outdoor clothes drying space and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking needs. Very recommended backpackers, about 13 minutes walk from the station, but the walk is flat and visited by many small shops. Very recommended.
SSandraThe owners are so warm and welcoming. The location from the bus stop was around 10-15 mins walk, and in the morning the owner offered to drive us there to save time.
They have a super kawaii pet snd the owner made sure that we’re comfortable with pet before letting it play outside. Lovely breakfast
GGuest UserAbout 5 minutes walk from the station. Matsumoto at this time has a high accommodation fee. At the time of booking, I used a 2K coupon for 14K on a certain cat site. After that, the price fell to about 12K and it was about the same as the non-application of the coupon, but it was unlikely to fall any further, so I left it with an early reservation. There is a suspicion of double price. Is it a good example to be careful when booking coupon distribution time? Since it is a Dormy Inn, the level of breakfast is high. Soba is a type that you order and make. Since it is located in the center of Matsumoto, you don't have to worry about eating out or convenience stores. Also, I think the point is that the large communal bath is a hot spring. It is a weak alkaline spring, but it seems to be a source of market price.
GGuest UserBefore I came, I saw that I was so embarrassed by the comment area. This kind of deep mountain bathing hotel has such a service and quality.
Originally booked for two days, and then directly stayed with the hotel for another day.
Tangquan is very comfortable, some sediments in the natural hot spring water are normal, and there is no problem with the open-air hot springs having a little leaves.
The meal was very good, I couldn't finish it alone anyway.
Overall it is very good, and the snow happened to be great on the day I continued to live 👏
AAYAKA-BUNMatsumoto City is not big, the hotel is very close to Matsumoto Castle, you can see it in the room, and it is 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station. There is free coffee and hot water on the first floor of the hotel, which is great for Chinese people who can't drink ice water. I have had a breakfast at the hotel, I have to pay separately, 500 yen a person, it is OK, just buy it at a convenience store. The price of this hotel is very cost effective.
Sscottpearce94This is a really good place to stay if you’re looking for a cheap Ryokan. Staff are super friendly, but unfortunately don’t speak much English. However, you can get by with google translate. There is an Onsen that is shared amongst the guests, however you can flip a sign on the door to mark it as occupied so you can use it alone. The only real downside is that the staff clean around 9-10am in the morning. So if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep in this probably isn’t the best stay for you. Though If you’re an early riser and like to try different types of hostels this place is going to be perfect. They also have free hire bikes you can use to get around.
KKvaldirThe location is very great with all the nature around. The htoel. Has a little shop as well, but ofcourse the best thing about the hotel is the onsen. The onsen is open 24/7,so you can make use of it whenever you want. The resutaurant closes relatively early, and you must reserve it, but otherwise you can buy some very affordable microwave food in the shoop, and they will warm it up for you, so that was a great service. Great place!
Vv35p_tripThis is about a 10-minute walk from the castle exit of Matsumoto Station. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ The front desk was usually a good response. You can enter the room with a key. The room is of a normal size, and the bath and toilet are undeniable, and the amenities and additional facilities in the room are also normal. (There is no security box, slippers were disposable. Pants pressure, charger, kettle, etc. can be rented at the front desk, so there is no shortage.) The bed was a bit wide, the sleeping clothes were yukata, and the pillows were low and low, so I had them replaced with soba shells. The network has wi-hi and the speed is normal. The large communal bath is a small space for about 4 people in the bathroom and about 2 people in the washroom, but you can enjoy it by the men and women exchange system with the cherry blossom bath medicine bath. Breakfast is free and bread is available, but the side dishes were Japanese and there were about 6 items and it was delicious. Coffee, tea, coin laundry and manga books are available 24 hours free. What was unique was that there was a DVD player, and you can rent DVD software at the front desk (there was also a software for children). It was a convenient and cost-effective hotel.
GGuest UserNo shower available inside the room, we need to use the hot spring. However, the water was not hot enough! I found two Japanese ladies use both indoor and outdoor hot spring just for few minutes and then left with disappointment.
The food qualities of both dinner and breakfast were not up to the standards of “Onsen” hotels in Japan at this price level I had gone before. Unfortunately this hotel is the only one available for booking on Trip.com near the area of Kamicochi. Will not recommend to anyone.
Vv35p_togetherThis is not a downtown area about 8 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Alps, and there is no convenience store nearby, but it is in a quiet location. I think the hotel itself structure is old but beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ was usually a good response. There are amenities in the lobby and you can take it freely and there is a free drink service. The room usually uses the key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit small, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were vinyl. There was also a refrigerator and dryer security box electric kettle) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network was wi-hi and the speed was good. The meal was usually delicious with many kinds for impossible Vikings. It was a quiet, convenient and cost-effective hotel.
