Extended Stay America Suites - Charlotte - Matthews

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facility was clean, but felt very sterile and institutional. The covers of the vinyl chairs in the room were worn through and looked very shabby, although they were comfortable. The room was very generic, with no supplies in the kitchen/needing to be requested specifically at the front desk. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom, the first hotel we have been in where this was not supplied. Road noise was also louder than ideal. The advertised free breakfast was very sparse, with no fruit, yogurt, etc. Basically, only muffins and snack bars. Good people, disappointing experience.

The room and bathroom were clean. Just being an overnight stay I couldn't complain. However, albeit there was a continental breakfast being served I was looking for more options. Otherwise my stay was good and I would return without hesitation.

Horrible hotel. Everything smelled horrible and was masked with air fresheners. Not recommended at all. Discussing.

Convenient location but near a very trafficked area. Limited to-go breakfast. Hotel is old and rooms were not properly cleaned. We had roaches in the first room we stayed and they switched us to a different room. No housekeeping even for extended stays. Smokers inside the rooms/property even though it’s a non-smoking hotel. Overall bad experience.

I do not recommend staying here. Left 2 days early due to my son’s tournament being over. one staff member said they would refund it while the manager said no.

Everything was convenient and easily available.

This place is a train wreck. Stay far away. Understaffed. Dirty rooms. Furniture falling apart. Roaches in the rooms. Loud and unpleasant long term residents. April was the manager and she hustled to try and make this train wreck work but seemed unable to get the help she needed. Do not stay here unless it’s a last resort.

The bathroom could have been cleaned a little better I can sell the person before me was very hairy.

Old furnitures & fixtures. Rust on light fixtures in the bathroom. Furnitures look like it’s from Walmart. Staff started vacuuming 7:30AM! Will not recommend. You get what you paid for..
