We had a very nice stay! Olivier was perfect at assisting us. I am shocked reading the reviews specially from my fellow Mauritian people. Of course it was not perfect but unless you are paying for a 5-star hotel, you cannot expect a 5-star service! We've had tiny issues like we've been having in other hotels around the world even 5-stars one but the most important is how the staff delt with it! And at Riu morne be it for previous stays or this particular stay, we've been assisted very well. Not enough places to charge phones in the room, the staff happily took my sister's phone to charge it while we were having lunch, I blocked my safe 2 times 🙈 and the maintenance guy came to assist both times without complaining and with a huge smile. My boyfriend was drunk one of the nights and got lost in the hotel at night getting back to the room 😂😂 the security guards called me with his phone and kept him busy while I went to get him. No judgement at all by the staff or bad comments even if some guests were annoying. During our stay there was a foreign artist and he was not treated any better than we were, everyone adjusted to make our stay be as smooth as possible, we even wanted to extend but unfortunately we had to resume to work so we can come again. Can't even name who assisted us best every where we went there was at least someone devoted, at Rivière restaurant I wanted a dish but it was not ready yet, the cook brought it at my table once while I was not expecting. To conclude, we had a very good stay, not perfect but as perfect as it could be! Looking forward to getting back there before and after renovation. ☀️☀️
