This hotel was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is quiet and off the beaten path, close to Beale Street, the riverfront, great barbecue, and plenty of dining. The front desk staff were responsive and helpful, with Aramis going above and beyond during check-in. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-cared for. Overall, clean/quiet rooms, great service, and a friendly staff made for a stress-free stay. Highly recommend for a quiet, family-friendly retreat near Memphis.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! THIS IS A SCAM! I booked that place for 3 nights, including breakfast, restaurant, pool and area shuttle amenities. After the first night, i had to rush out of there. They completely misrepresented themselves online. There was no customer service (they don't answer phones at the front desk). Room was not clean (i found a big bug in my room on the first night, but front desk never answered when i called to report). No breakfast available. No area shuttle available (i had to incur expenses to move in the area to find breakfast). In 24 hours I did not see 1 guest check-in or check out. The place seemed very unsafe for me or my belongings...Please do not go there EVER! THIS IS A HOTEL FROM HELL! A disgrace to the Marriott franchise

This is, without question, the worst experience I’ve had in a Marriott property in over 20 years — and that’s saying something, given I’m a Lifetime Titanium member who stays 100+ nights per year. What makes this situation even more appalling is that seven days later, no one from the hotel has bothered to follow up with me — including the General Manager, who has ignored multiple requests to return my call or respond to Marriott corporate emails. To make matters worse, when I escalated the issue through Marriott customer service, I was met with a rude and dismissive supervisor, who seemed more interested in getting off the phone than resolving the issue. From the moment I arrived, the experience was shocking: the building was surrounded by chain link fences, the grounds were completely overgrown and disheveled — the entire property looked more like a neglected dump than a Marriott. I was even stopped by a security guard when trying to enter, which was not only off-putting but made me question whether the hotel was even operational. I waited 15 minutes to check in at midnight because there was no one at the front desk. When I finally got a room, the conditions were unacceptable, forcing me to switch rooms after midnight. The second room was only marginally better — still well below the standard expected from a Courtyard, especially for a loyal elite member. There was no restaurant availability, and absolutely no notice during booking that the hotel was undergoing major renovations — a material omission that borders on deceptive. But more importantly, I want others to know: this hotel is not up to Marriott standards, and neither is the customer service surrounding it. Avoid at all costs.

Under construction - No BREAKFAST - I informed front desk staff that the website should have said that there was no breakfast at this time. Front desk staff was sitting in the lobby. He never said, “Welcome or Hello!” He checked us in. My husband had to ask where the elevator was located. He was not rude…just not friendly. The room was nice. That’s the only reason I’m giving a 2 out of 5.

I can’t believe this hotel is open during its renovation. It looks like it belongs in the tv series “The Last of Us”. The newly renovated bathroom shower doors don’t slide open cleanly. The refrigerator is so small it wouldn’t qualify for a dorm fridge. The front entrance was covered in tarps. And the pool was algae green but they did say the pool was closed. The elevators barely worked - one has to question the TN inspection process.

This is an older property that is currently undergoing renovations. In spite of both of those issues, I would definitely stay here again. The staff at the desk is extremely friendly. The rooms are decent with a good TV. I love that there is a chair with a footstool and light behind it. It is a smaller hotel, so you aren't going to get a huge crowd at breakfast. The real breakfast area is currently closed for renovations, so breakfast takes place in the conference room. The parking lot is small, and I felt like my car was safe there, which can be a problem in Memphis. Another problem in Memphis is that nearly every hotel is near a freeway and as a result gets the noise from the Indy 500 traffic, and this is no different. The heat and air unit is old, but the fan makes enough good noise for those who like that at night in a hotel. Good location if you are going to the Mike Rose Soccer Complex. Tip: Exlines Best Pizza is a good nearby place to pick up dinner.

Hotel lobby undergoing renovation and a mess with no indication in app or on website. Assigned room 335, no air conditioning. Moved to room 108, foul odor. Staff at market area to simply get a coffee was unpleasant and inconsiderate. Advise to avoid.
