Metz Hotels with Wi-Fi

Friendly staff, a very basic room, good price for spending a night.

de passage à Metz pour une nuit avec mon épouse, je cherchais un hôtel situé à proximité du parc des expos; l'établissement en question m'a paru correspondre à mes attentes, je connais la chaine et j'y ai souvent séjourné par le passé...quelle ne fut pas ma déconvenue en découvrant le lieu déjà (parking délabréet façades pour le moins défraichies; l'hôtesse certes souriante a fait preuve d'une deconcertante incompétence et de plus, m'a fait payé une deuxième fois le petit-déjeuner alors qu'il était déjà sur la réservation ; 62€ est le coût total pour un badge qui ne fonctionne pas, absence de savon dans le bac de la douche, eau chaude très , très, très longue à venir, moquettes et peintures d'une autre âge, 2 ridicules petits pains durs dans la corbeille du buffet le lendemain matin vers 8h15 (j'ignore ce qu'ont mangé les autres locataires...) et j'en passe et des mailleur, comme l'abse,ce de la moindre isolation phonique, bref un vrai cauchemar! Je connais des tas de chambres d'hôtes en Alsace Lorraine qui offrent une prestation incomparable pour un prix identique, voire même inférieur....

When I arrived it was pouring with rain, so I missed the hotel first time around, so according to my Garming I had to drive another 1,5 KM to get round to the hotel. Pleasant reception explained how to get to the parking garage with my motorbike. Room was ok, breakfast was a fast breakfast. Not to write home about. One thing did bother me , at the reception they gave me a streetmap of Metz, but the scale was so small I couldn't use it too well, ofcourse I went the long way round to the cathedral.

We went to Metz for 2 days and decided for the Mgallery Hotel. It was very well located next to a park in a historic environment. Definitely a very nice place. City center with a many restaurants, cafes and bars was just a 10 minute walk. Also the cathedral was just 15 minutes away. Staff was very friendly and rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was very good with good choices.

We were stranded at the Metz Ville railway station today with our booked accommodation failing to email our accommodation address. By accident I stumbled across the Campanile Hotel, 3 minutes from the station. From the moment I walked in the staff were so helpful, kind and empathetic to our situation. They served us tea, allowed access to their Wifi and sitting area so we could try and resolve our situation. We couldn’t so booked a room- clean, comfortable beds, a lovely fresh room and bathroom; more than adequate for our needs. And a very reasonable price. But the staff were superb! Nothing was too much trouble- they tried to source tours and answered a multitude of questions. Special mention must be made of Fativa- an absolute gem! So kind, so caring and so patient. Her dinner recommendation was fabulous! Campanile Hotel saved our day!

Place advertised limited parking but there was none. No handicapped parking either. Nearest parking was a block away and 12 Euros for 3 hrs but free from 1900 to 0900. Reception team unaware of parking rates and restrictions. Small room was adequate, kitchenette but needed air conditioning. Our 6th floor room faced west and it was hot. Fan provided helped. All instructions were provided in German along with a pocket size map in French. Excellent location near most sights in easy walking and bike range. Breakfast at 8.50€ was very European. Quiet area in NW area of city center near everything. No lobby or restaurant in our facility. Restaurants required reservations but plenty of outdoor seating was available in the many pedestrian zones. Beer averaged 6.50€ for 1/2 liter and wine for a small glass started at 3.50€. Grocery stores and gas stations are well hidden. Overall parking expense was a major drawback. Find a hotel that has parking.

Overall it's ok, breakfast needs to be improved a bit

Absolutely stunning hotel modern French design. Location even better. Superb stay with access to pretty much everything you want and desire. Our room was fabulous very good character and the pool very nice. Safe parking for our Motor Car with excellent members of staff to help you throughout. In the morning the breakfast service is again delicious and well supplied. The hotel is very ambient and offers selection and seclusion whilst dining. I really like this. Staff exceptional, very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended especially for stop overs whilst travelling across a brilliant country.

Honteux! Etat déplorable, envie de fuir et malheureusement pas moyen de changer de chambre. Odeur insoutenable de cigarette dans la chambre..lit et coussins imprégnés de l'odeur, joints moisis ++ ds la salle de bain et douche, douchette craspouille, sol collant et sale...et pas moyen d'aérer correctement. Quand je signale le.souci d'odeur, on me répond qu'ils peuvent mettre de la bombe dans la chambre sans étonnement (alors qu'il est interdit de fumer), que je dois utiliser le ventilateur pour évacuer l'odeur..sauf que ce dernier est plein de poussières..le lendemain on m'explique que tout est de la faute des visiteurs qui ne respectent pas les règles. Je ne demande pas le grand luxe mais une chambre propre. Même prendre une douche me répugnait..je déconseille vivement ! Et bien évidemment...aucun geste commercial. La prochaine fois je dormirai dans ma voiture plutôt que dans cette pièce saturée de nicotine froide où il faisait une chaleur à crever.

Yes, of course, at the entrance is ”Ibis”. Yes, the lady at the reception welcomes us friendly. Yes, the bedroom is a real, fine Ibis bed. Yes, breakfast fully meets the expectations - even the lothringic national fruit, The Mirabelle is presented in confectionery. No, the willhelminic construction has come full in the years and urgently requires general rehabilitation. No, the lift is not useable for claustrophobes. No - the French vowed word ”soignez les détails” certainly does not apply here. And no to stam customers: The ”Welcome Drink” is applicable per room, we are told. So A cola in two glasses for 2 people. That's really never happened to us. We thought , that would be a joke - NO, that wasn't. Generally, the hotel situation in Metz does not seem easy, but the good location of this hotel ...
