Taiping Lake Forest Chalet Hotel

Our stay at Taiping Lake was absolutely fantastic! ✨ The log cabin in the woods offered a tranquil environment, and the private hot spring was wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic. A special shout-out to our butler, who was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Check-in was efficient, and they were always available to help with any issues. The shuttle service around the resort was convenient, and there were plenty of activities for kids, making it a great family-friendly destination. The fresh air and natural oxygen bar were a huge plus. This is definitely our top choice for a family getaway, and we'll be back for our next vacation! The food was just okay; it looked abundant but didn't taste particularly good.

My kids absolutely loved this little cabin! The shuttle bus arrived super fast after just one call. This was their first hot spring experience, and having a private bath meant they could splash around to their heart's content while avoiding the crowds. The scenery in the resort was beautiful. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Mile!

The room matched the pictures, and for two adults with two suitcases, it was adequately spacious. We stayed in room 9090. While the exterior looked a bit old, the interior was quite new and all items were clean. The toilet in the bathroom had a slight musty smell from dampness, but the bathroom did have a window and the exhaust fan was new and quite powerful, so opening everything up helped a lot. I'd especially like to commend the staff; they were all very enthusiastic and provided thorough reminders. Due to heavy rain, we stayed in our room and encountered a cleaning lady who was exceptionally kind! Since the hotel is located within a scenic area, dining options are limited to the hotel itself. For just two of us, it wasn't very cost-effective, but it would be great for a larger group as there's a BBQ option. The lake-view restaurant was a bit pricey, though the portions were generous. However, for a small group like ours wanting to try various dishes, it ended up being too expensive. Room service had a limited selection and strict timing requirements. The hotel is quite large, but if you don't have a car, you can contact the front desk for transfers, which is quite convenient. The hotel also offers scheduled shuttle services to the scenic spots, which is very handy.

This place is perfect for kids! The environment is elegant and really close to nature. During the day, you can head to the mountaintop in the park for a great coffee shop, forest adventures, thrilling rapids, and even a small train ride. In the evenings, the hotel hosts bonfire parties. The only downside is that the cabins are a bit poorly soundproofed. We experienced a heavy downpour on our first night, and the white noise was quite noticeable, which might appeal to some. Overall, the environment is very kid-friendly. My child had been looking forward to this cabin for a long time. After checking in at the hotel lobby, we drove our own car, following the staff in their golf cart, to our respective cabins. We booked the Luxury Private Hot Spring Cabin, which is a one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom unit on the ground floor, with its own private entrance and courtyard, offering great privacy. The courtyard is very spacious, and the greenery is well-maintained, featuring a private hot spring tub, outdoor loungers, and table and chairs. Our room, 1210, was in the first row by the lake, and we could catch a glimpse of the lake view over the fence. Breakfast was served at the lakeside restaurant, a leisurely 10-15 minute walk away. During the May Day holiday, the restaurant was very crowded for breakfast, and we had to share a table. Overall, the breakfast was decent, but due to the large crowd, there were long queues for the coffee machine. The indoor area of the Luxury Private Hot Spring Cabin wasn't overly large, and the bedroom was a bit small, but it was sufficient for a family of three. It was a novel experience for families with kids who haven't stayed in a forest cabin before. We could relax and unwind in the courtyard or enjoy a comfortable soak in the hot spring. Overall, I really liked and was satisfied with our stay. It was also very quiet at night, except for the occasional honking of the silly geese by the lake. One suggestion: it would be great to add more courtyard lights, especially near the steps, as it's too dark at night and quite dangerous descending the steps, requiring a phone flashlight. The service, from the front desk to the shuttle staff, was excellent. It's definitely worth another visit.

It's about a 30-minute drive from the high-speed train station, and we weren't informed about any shuttle service beforehand. We ended up spending 240 yuan on two round-trip taxis. The breakfast was really subpar, and the food wasn't good at all. Honestly, it doesn't justify the 2700 yuan price tag!

The kids loved it! The resort is huge, and the jacaranda trees right outside our room were in full bloom, which was lovely. The breakfast had a great variety, though it was a bit too crowded due to the holiday. The private hot tub in the suite was a bit small, really only suitable for kids to splash around in. For a proper hot spring experience, I'd suggest going to other places in Mile. Overall, it's a good spot for a family trip.

Staying in a tent in the forest park was great, the service and facilities were excellent! It was also flower season, so the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway to recharge. Next time, I'll book earlier to try out one of the villas!

Highly recommended hotel! The environment is absolutely stunning, and it offers incredible value for money. It's located right within the Taiping Lake scenic area, and you can even enjoy the hot springs. Perfect for unwinding and just relaxing. It's definitely a place I'd love to visit again, my son absolutely loved it. We'll be back next time!
