The room is very Japanese style, I like it very much. The male clerk is a middle-aged Japanese uncle, which also has a Japanese feel. In addition, the wooden hot spring is perfect. The interior is perfect. There is Lake Shojin outside. There are few people and the picture is good. If you are lucky, you can directly take pictures of Mount Fuji

Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan has a lot going for it, but a few things detracted from the overall experience - many of which are not the fault of the ryokan itself, but it's worth noting. We've stayed at tons of top onsen ryokans throughout Japan, but what intrigued us most about visiting Keiunkan had to do with its history - it's officially recognized as the oldest continually operating inn/hotel in the world. It was established in 705 A.D., and has been run by the same family which is in its 53rd generation. That alone had us excited. The fact that the Suite that we booked - the ”special room Kitadake,” with its top floor corner location and free-flowing open-air outdoor Onsen (natural hot springs) bath, had us giddy with excitement. The two primary downsides are its location (and surrounds) and lack of any historical vibe. First, it’s in the middle of nowhere. Usually, that would be fine, but there is nothing to see and do within 30 minutes (driving) of the ryokan. Minobusan (and Minobusan Kuon-ji Temple) are about a half-hour away, but not really a must-do. Aside from that… nothing. Also, along the way there, all we saw were trucks after big trucks (hardly any cars) carrying gravel/rocks. And all along the Hayakawa River, there were mounds of sand and massive boulders that either were excavated by the trucks or were dumped there. And then there were tons and tons of quarries. And lots of road construction, with construction staff managing traffic every 5 minutes or so (the roads were one lane each way, naturally.) It was dusty, and the river was not picturesque at all. We later learned from our room attendant that Japan is building a Magnetic Levitation Train with much of it planned to run underground, so there was a ton of work in the area in building the tunnel that would pass through Shizuoka and Yamanashi. This will continue until at least 2027, so this is something to be mindful about. Secondly, if you didn't know that Keiunkan was originally established in 705AD, you would not have any sense of Keiunkan being an old, historic property. This has to do with a massive typhooon which completely devastated the property (and the entire area) about 60 years ago, and all of the then-exhibited items from antiquity (scrolls, ceramics, paintings, etc.) were also lost. That said, this is not unusual in Japan, where typhoons, fires and earthquakes are the norm, and Keiunkan was probably rebuilt at least 8 times over the course of its history. Still, it's a shame that no trace of its historic past is evident to guests when staying at the ryokan. FYI, the current building was built a few miles away from the original location in 1997, and let's just say it is not exactly an architectural beauty. It's also a rather large property by ryokan standards, with 37 total rooms. This can be a plus, what with Keiunkan having quite a few public Onsen options on site - something that only a handful of much smaller luxury ryokans can offer on the same scale. As a ry

When I arrived, I saw the parking lot like a material storage area with an abandoned car and thought, ”I wonder if this failed” and checked in. I thought that the door of the room and the old appearance inside were ”mad”. In fact, there was no soundproofing measures for the voice and noise of the next room. However, I stayed because I was attracted to the hot springs I saw on HP, but this is a great answer. 46 ℃ is a source of water, and the hot water is blowing up from the rock pattern in the center of the bathtub like the eruption of the volcano, and the hot spring of the favorite (there is also a little wet bathtub) It was good for the hot spring of the leg. It is hotter than the bathtub of the hot water of the gold hot water of Arima Onsen (44 ℃) which goes 3 times in the month 2 ~, and there is a water bath because it has a sauna, and the hot spring → water bath is repeated 3 times and arranged. After jogging the next morning, I usually just wash my whole body in the shower, but I entered the hot spring here. In the morning, when I opened the window, Mt. Fuji looked magnificent and was lucky in the room on the Mt. Fuji side. The comfort in the room and the contents of the breakfast lunch are 〇 1 ~ 2 evaluations, but the hot springs are 〇 5 evaluations. A couple has breakfast (bento), free parking fee, ¥ 8,600 per night (coupon use) and cospa are 〇 5 evaluations. i should go to the hot spring.

This lovely hotel (its a bit dated, but everything is clean and very nice) is right on the lake, and very quiet. Its 10 minutes driving distance from the Kawaguchi-Ko bus stand/train station and there is a free hotel shuttle every hour. I would definitely go for rooms with a view - either of the lake, or of Fujisan. We went for rooms with lake view, and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are big and very comfortable, with a desk, an armchair and a sofa. There is also a small balcony, with amazing views of the lake. Its so peaceful, especially in the early morning or during sunset. The hotel is located in a large garden. There is an indoor and lovely outdoor onsen, where you can bath in the warm water whilst seeing bamboo and hearing birds. Breakfast is a good buffet. The restaurant for dinner is rather expensive, so i would recommend eating in one of the few restaurants in the small town.

Pros: 1. The room comfortably accommodated 3 adults, although the bathroom was a bit small even for one person. 2. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. 3. Breakfast met our expectations. 4. The onsen experience was enjoyable overall. 5. The hotel's location is convenient, being close to Lake Kawaguchiko. 6. Free parking area is near the hotel entrance. Cons: 1. We specifically booked a room with a ”mountain view” hoping to see Mount Fuji. Our room was on level 3. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that our view only included the tip of the mountain, obstructed by buildings and electric cables. This was quite different from the picturesque view advertised on their website. Considering the high price of the room (SGD$800 per night for 3 persons), this was a huge disappointment. We strongly believe that the hotel should reconsider offering level 3 rooms as 'mountain view' rooms and reserve levels 4 and 5 for this category, as this feels like a misrepresentation. 2. Dinner was a huge letdown. We were served only 2 platters of meat (pork and beef) of average quality and 1 vegetable platter for Shabu Shabu. The selection was extremely limited. Although we were offered a Kaiseki Ryori (multi-course Japanese-style meal) for the next evening, there was an additional charge of over $3000+ yen per person for the upgrade. Despite the extra cost, this option seemed more appealing as we did not want to have the same Shabu Shabu two nights in a row.

I stayed in a room with a hot spring bath on the Mt. Fuji side of the East Building. Blessed with the weather, I took a long view of Mt. Fuji from the evening to the next morning and soaked in the hot springs many times. (Laughs) The quality of the Kawaguchiko Onsen at this hotel is a neutral calcium, sodium-sulphate, and chlorine-based disinfection is heated and circulated, including a large communal bath and a private room bath. It is not a source hanging, but it is well managed including the spring temperature. It warmed up well. It seems to be a room meal, but I stayed at 々 at the end of the year 12/29 night, probably because there were many guests, in the dining room on the 7th floor, dinner was a course kaiseki dish, breakfast was a buffet. The beef stew that I expected was also served on the course because the amount was small, but it felt like a taste. Each was carefully cooked in a small amount, and the quality and quantity were satisfactory. I stayed until 11:00 in the morning, and I took a bath 5 times in another 々 large communal bath once, 3 times in the room bath. In addition, the large communal bath has a waterfall and an open-air rock bath in the foreground, and a large cypress bath in the back. I think the impression will change depending on the way Mt. Fuji looks, but I was lucky 々. Since it is the year-end and New Year holidays, the high accommodation fee is natural, but it was a satisfying content for the room, meal, bath, service, and environment that matched it.

NNIJIAFive-star praise. The service is great! The room was clean and the food was good. The host was very enthusiastic. The morning chanting ceremony deliberately drove me up the mountain at 5:30 and was moved. In short, all kinds of satisfaction, the price is very cheap, don't look at him below the price of the surrounding hotels, really cost-effective, the surrounding expensive hotels also live, the service meals are incomparable to him, the room is similar. In short, come here to choose this one, don't hesitate. Brothers look at the picture. This hotel is on the edge of the three gates, the closest hotel to more than 200 steps, 3 minutes walk. Big single rush

GGuest UserWhen you stop at the entrance of the hotel, the staff will pick you up and carry your luggage. The correspondence of the staff was good. It's a reasonable room, but the washroom was a little small with separate toilets, baths, etc. 々, but there is no problem with the water area. However, there are relatively steps when entering the toilet, and I'm worried that the elderly will fall asleep and take off their feet, especially at midnight. It's a low bed, but I slept comfortably. The scenery outside is good, but I wonder if it was a little negative that the screen door could not be moved. Well, it can't be helped because insects come in. Supper is buffet. If you are looking forward to the video with reference to 々, you may feel that it is surprisingly small? However, I am satisfied with myself because I have a good taste at a pinpoint. Yamame fish was just a signboard product, and even if I wasn't very good at grilled fish, I couldn't feel the bones so much and it was delicious. I rarely received two. The morning buffet is a menu with a different style from other hotels. The bread was abundant, and the croissant with mountain female fish was also delicious. It's also good that the staff distributed freshly baked croissants! The hot springs are replaced by men and women at night, but the basic style is the same. The dressing room is beautiful and has valuables lockers. The indoor bath is a sulfur spring of 36 degrees, and the alkaline spring of the lower joint hot spring next to it. The outside is an all lower joint hot spring, from lukewarm to hot water. The sulfur spring feels faint, but it smells because it blows away with a bubble bath and a jet bath, so it smells relatively. Therefore, when I put my back on the jet bus, the smell of sulfur doesn't fly very much, and it is regrettable. Was the service after the bath alcohol until dinner, some drinks until the drum festival, and ice cream until 22:00? The service after the bath itself is satisfactory, but I still wanted it to be released until around 23:00. It was a satisfying inn for me, who likes both sulfur smell and insensitive temperature.

GGuest UserI stayed here with my 16 year old son. We were looking for something very authentic Japanese. Kakurinbo was perfect. We stayed two days after arriving in Japan and it was a great peaceful quiet way to recover from jet lag. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very clean and spacious. We had the garden view and enjoyed green tea each morning while watching the giant koi fish in the pond. The food was Delicious and artful in presentation. Even my 16 year old son who lives in frozen pizza and ice cream was happy with the food. The wine bath was a special treat and relaxing to soak each evening with a window to view the garden. Even the map they gave us on arrival was awesome not was very detailed and had so Lucy information that was useful as well as interesting. I was sad that the first day I lost mine but the gave me another. We went each morning to the temple service and I recommend to go. During the service a monk shows the incense bowls and invites people up to burn incense. The “map” explains how to do it and watch someone go up then don’t be shy and do it. Also don’t forget to do the water purifying outside. Again, the “map” explains. We also took the ropeway to the top and we’re blessed with a view of Mt.Fuji. Thank you for a memorable time my son and I will always cherish.
