AFTERNOON TEA SIMPLY LOVELY, FOOD FRESH + DELICIOUS comprising, finger sandwiches, cheese savoury, cucumber + cream cheese, chicken+Mayo, roast beef, profiteroles, lemon cake, trifle, scone with jam +cream, pavlova. PROSECCO FRIENDLY STAFF EFFICIENT SERVICE GOOD ATMOSPHERE AFTERNOON SERVICE WAS VERY BUSY 09/09/23.Well that says it all! Have been many times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It was an ok stay but for us we didn’t realise we booked when the football was on and the away fans had pretty much booked the hotel and to say it was noisy was an understatement. Staff were friendly enough but didn’t ask us if we wanted Breakfast or if we had stayed there before so seemed pretty sub standard and not really that invested in what they were doing. We had planned to use the pool but some local kids sneaked in and used it making it loud and unusable during our stay they were just causing problems and the hotel didn’t act. This is the biggest failing the hotel fails to act we had loud guests door slamming music playing loud football fans going mad till 4am and nothing was done about it. The beds were not that comfy as sadly neither of us had a good nights sleep on top of the noise by others the rooms offered no sound proofing. No air conditioning which is crazy in this day and age and not even a fan in the room, when we asked for one we just got laughed at and told good luck with that by housekeeping. This places lacks staff that care or take pride in their work. The bathroom had no fan so when used steam went everywhere and the water pressure and temperature was terrible it wasn’t overly clean so couldn’t use the bath. Only thing going for this hotel is it’s location but we wouldn’t use it again as the rooms need a lot of TLC and the staff need extra training more so on the communication front. Upon check out we weren’t even asked did we enjoy our stay as we wanted to raise our concerns.

We have had an absolutely amazing stay at Ramside to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We stayed in a treehouse which was utterly superb and took my breath away!! Beautiful interiors and furnishings along with wonderful outdoor area with your own hot tub and sauna...a truly wonderful experience. The service is second to none. The concierge was literally on tap to take you to and from the main hotel. Nothing was ever a problem. The main Spa pool had plenty of seating and limitless supply of towels, robes and flip flops to make you relaxed and comfortable. The Fusion Restaurant was fabulous too. 9 of us ate at the restaurant, the food was served piping hot in beautiful Asian inspired bowls and plates and looked utterly mouthwatering and tasted delicious, we couldn't fault it....The cocktails are gorgeous too I can highly recommend the strawberry breeze for any gin lovers out there! Wow!! A huge thank you, to the wonderful dedicated staff at Ramside, for making our weekend just perfect and one to remember...We will be back!!

Visited the hotel for 3 months whilst working away on a project. The hotel itself is clean & modern with everything in place to accommodate all guests. The staff were fantastic, from checking in to travel arrangements and even first aid for when life’s no so great moments occur. Vicky & the team run a tight ship, I’d like to say a special thanks to the following members of staff Andrew , Jay, Kennidi, Katie, Craig, Daniel, Brandon, Dawn, Tia, Charis, Carmen, Louis. All of the above exceeded my guest expectations in going the extra mile to ensure a friendly and welcoming environment. Jay in particular was always a smiling face & on hand to help with any guest needs, a true asset to the hospitality industry. If you are staying in Middlesbrough no matter the occasion then be sure to make your trip just that bit better by popping in and meeting the team.

Stayed at travel lodge in Sunderland city centre with my partner daughter and dog the staff are very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us while we were staying would definitely return rooms are spacious and very clean *****

This hotel is rather like an oasis in the bleak desert of Hartlepool. It is situated as the title of the hotel suggests, in a large grand old building. It is undergoing a great deal of restoration and some of the features were outstanding such as the wonderful painted fresco on the brick wall of the dining room. Truly awesome. We had a large room which was nicely re vamped but was unfortunately let down by the en-suite which needs attention. The bar area has been beautifully restored with frescos depicting local scenes and the price of the drinks was extremely reasonable. Bar staff were friendly but some of the clients were a little dubious including a young man who did not hesitate to tell us he’d just come out of another bar establishment (HMP). Nevertheless he was also friendly as were nearly all local people we met. Breakfast was included in our break and was very good served by a friendly local young lady. Overall a very nice hotel.

We booked bed/ breakfast for 2 nights. It was a buffet breakfast everything was on cereal fruit juice and hot food if you wanted anything extra the staff were only too willing to get it for you. Lovely room big fluffy towels in the bathroom and complimentary toiletries. The hotel is only 3 year old very modern and clean. I would stay in in again for my next trip. Marlene Glasgow

This hotel is very cost-effective, as reflected in: 1. It is about 5 minutes walk from Sunderland train station and bus station. It is in the city center, and it is only 2 minutes walk to the bridges shopping mall. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding area. 2. Since it is a newly built hotel in 2022, the facilities are very new and modern, and the rooms are relatively clean. As a slightly clean freak, I am quite satisfied, but there are some unknown stains on the pillow, so I put on my own pillow cover. The reason for giving the facilities 4 stars is that the sound insulation effect is too poor. People passing by the door can clearly hear their speeches, but it is relatively quiet to sleep at night. 3. There are really not many choices for breakfast, and everyone feels tired of eating the next day. The price is not cheap, so I personally don't recommend eating buffet breakfast in the hotel. 4. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Summary: If you go to Sunderland again in the future, you will definitely consider living here again. Very economical! It's very convenient to go anywhere, very clean room, good value for money

Well the room was clean and comfortable and the staff especially Henry were incredibly helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Overall I would highly recommend Travelodge Middlesbrough if you're looking for a well located and affordable place to stay. It ticked all the boxes for me apart from a large wine glass.
