Lady Luck Casino Black Hawk ★★★
"I love my stay there, but one of the house keepers kept my jacket expensive I left there and they didn't turn it in. They were supposed to but didn't I'm very upset about this matter and I want my jacket back. Silver sequin cowgirl jacket very expensive and elegant I call few times no one knows nothing so I'm coming back up there to speak with a manager on Nov 4th in the morning 😔"
Ameristar Casino Black Hawk ★★★★
"Everything was great until a couple checked in room next to ours. Baby cried on and off all night. Following night another couple checked in, came in at 2am had on loud music until early morning. Both nights very noisy, didn’t get much sleep!!"
Horseshoe Black Hawk- A Caesars Rewards Destination ★★★
The Nest at Black Hawk ★★★
"This is a neat new glamping location. However due to the newness, there are a LOT of things that NEED TO be improved. First of all, the price is outrageous for what you get. $300+/night is more than the Four Star Hotels in Blackhawk. I understand that they want to make their money back in the first year, but that's a little too much, really. The domes are well built and very cool. But they have a strong plastic/vinyl odor inside due to being so new, but that makes the stay uncomfortable. Hopefully in a few months/years that will be gone. They need to add more furniture inside the domes. There is not a closet, or dresser or even a countertop to put things on. All of our stuff lived on the floor. We rarely unpack our suitcases, so we don't often use the dressers in hotel rooms, but you need a countertop space to put things on rather than throwing everything on the floor. There isn't any countertop space in the bathroom, so not enough room for toothbrush, hardly, not to mention the typical toiletries and makeup that had to lay on the floor. The bed is not comfortable. It was firm and lumpy. It is supposed to be a queen bed in the deluxe mountain view dome we got, but it is not. I did not measure it, but it felt quite small. It worked, and was better than sleeping on the ground, but for $300+/night, you expect more. There is a mini kitchen - sink, microwave and minifridge. That has the only countertop in the dome that you can fit 2 plates on, not much else. There was not any paper towels or sponge to clean anything with, although they do provide some dishes and dish soap. The shower is not bad for a tent/dome. It has about 5 minutes of hot water. Not bad for camping, but at $300+/night... You know... A 4 star hotel is cheaper and provides a full size shower and soaking tub in the room with unlimited hot water. The TV in the room does NOT have an antenna or any cable channels, only has Roku with NO subscriptions or streaming services included, you have to bring your own. At $300+/night, you should get some tv channels, al least the free local channels over an antenna. Most hotels at 1/3 this price point include 100 channels of basic cable minimum. Also there is a lot of construction going on around the campground as they have about 24 more domes under construction. There is a community dome where you can get breakfast or dinner, but it is pricey and not very good food. You are MUCH better off driving 10 minutes to Blackhawk for food. There are NO other amenities in the campground, or nearby. They should add hot tubs, spa, gym, or anything that would enhance the stay. Again, at $300+/night you certainly expect more. We found ourselves sitting in the stinky dome looking for something to do and eventually going down to Blackhawk or Central City, or hiking on some trails several miles away. They have underground sprinklers to water the wild grass/weeds and they are watering them twice a day, every day. I got soaked by them multiple times just exiting my"
