We have just returned from Chalet Philibert (1st April), and wanted to say what a fantastic stay we had. There were eight of us, two households, and we all had a great time (apart from the skiing injuries). Straight from our arrival the team were totally fantastic, and couldn't have been more helpful. From looking after us in the bar, feeding us fabulous food in the restaurant, and giving hints and tips on best bus options, après ski choices on the slopes and best bars in town. Everyone was fantastic, but a special shout out to Jodie (for keeping us watered!), the chefs (the tartiflette was amazing), Keeley (always smiley and full of great tips and advice), and of course Dan. Thanks again to the whole team, especially for putting up with several sets of crutches balanced at all locations around the hotel. I would totally recommend a stay with Dan and his team, fabulous!

Overall – a good hotel, with nice staff, good food and reasonably priced. The detail: Bus Transfer The earliest curtesy bus doesn’t leave Geneva until 12:30pm, so you’ll struggle to get a couple of hours skiing in on the first afternoon. The Alpine Elements rep meets you next to the Currency Exchange in Terminal 1, so if you fly in/out of Terminal 2 (like we did with Jet 2) it’s a 5-10 minute walk from 2 to 1. There are restaurants (McDonalds plus others) on the first floor of Terminal 1, but nothing in Terminal 2. The first curtesy bus going back home leaves the hotel at 8:30am and arrives at Geneva airport around 10:45am depending on traffic, so make sure you don’t book too early a flight back. Location From Dixies Bar at the bottom of the town, its about a 10 mins walk up the hill opposite (5 minutes when coming down from the hotel). It’s a pretty steep climb, but you can always catch the bus back up if you prefer. Buses The buses go down to Morzine, and up to Avoriaz, from just outside the hotel – the one to Avoriaz being the big gondola (Prodains) which is a quicker way than using the Super Morzine lift from Morzine town centre. Tip – by the time the bus reaches the hotel first thing in the morning its nearly always full, so you’re better off jumping on the one that goes down the hill instead – it’ll add 10 minutes to the journey, but you will probably get there sooner and will at least get a seat. Rooms Comfortable twin beds and a reasonable amount of room and storage. The shower has the power of a jetwash! A longer curtain would help the tiled floor not getting soaked. Hair drier in the bathroom. Tip – The windows are double glazed, but there was still quite a bit of noise from the road which starts before 7am. If you’re a light sleeper, or want a lie-in in the morning, don’t choose the rooms nearest the road (ie ???) and/or maybe take ear plugs. There were 4 chalets being built almost opposite when we were there which added to the noise, but they should be easily finished by summer 2024. Amenities Pool, sauna and jacuzzi open at 4pm. All nice and clean. Staff All very nice, friendly and efficient. A member of our group had a medical emergency during our stay. The staff dealt with it very efficiently and the manager, who spoke French, arrived very quickly enabling a dialogue with the paramedics. We are very grateful for their assistance with this. Food & Drink in the hotel Nice little bar area with a log fire. Reasonably priced drinks including Peroni on draught, but it went flat very quickly. Plenty of room in the restaurant and a nice cosy atmosphere. Cooked breakfast was pretty good (they’re never great to be fair) plus fresh French bread, croissants etc, boil-your-own eggs and/or cereals. All get constantly topped up, so we were never waiting. Help yourself coffee machine with various choices, or choice of teas, and 2 fruit juices. Good 3 course evening meal, plus a canapé each and a complementary glass of house red

We've just had the best week with Alpine Elements at Hotel Philibert in Morzine. It's a great location with easy (free) bus transport to Morzine and Avoriaz, and we had some great skiing, even though there wasn't much snow in the valley - it's easy to get high enough to find plenty of good runs. It's a lovely small chalet hotel, and the swimming pool, sauna and hot tub were nice and warm, with stunning views of the mountains. We were travelling with two small children and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, which made our stay so much more enjoyable. The food was consistently excellent - it was a real treat to be cooked for all week, to a really high standard. Transfers all worked well and communication from head office and from the resort rep was excellent. Definitely an experience to repeat.

Wonderful stay at the hotel Philibert for a new year ski / boarding trip with my 18 year old daughter. The setup in the hotel & the staff made a fabulous holiday and couldn’t fault anything. Food is good, bar is lovely & reasonably priced, rooms are nice and the pool, sauna & jacuzzi are a bonus. Ski bus stop is just round the corner so very easy to get to any of the lift stations in town. Dan & the team made sure that we had everything we needed and seemed to know all the best places to ski along with how best to get there. Thanks to you all. Mark & Mia

We booked a ski holiday here March 23 and the hotel facilities were excellent- charming, clean, and finishing a day on the slopes with a swim, steam and sauna was great. Hotel very close to bus stop and rooms were fine. Gluten free options were good. Unfortunately at the end of the week I got extremely bad food poisoning after the gf evening meal here and when I told Alpine elements to warn for future meals if the meat was off/faulty. However, liaison with the chef has been dire- very rude responses and I have not yet received an apology or any acknowledgement off accountability. Instead, after several emails exchanges they have now ignored my last email. Poor customer service that has meant my group and I will not be using them again. Hotel was great, customer service from Alpine elements, not so much.

We had a fantastic week at Hotel Philibert. The prebooked activities were well organised and great fun. The hotel staff were excellent and very accommodating. They were great with our young kids. The pool area is fantastic and a great place to wind down at the end of a busy day. I would recommend having a car to get around as the hotel/chalet is a fair uphill walk from town and the various activities. The hotel was very hot during the week we were there, although there were usually high temperatures in Morzine that week. The food was a very high standard and catered for kids well.

What a wonderful week bursting full of sunshine and activities from start to finish! The week was unbelievably well organised from start to finish, even before leaving home. We had a day white water rafting, a SUP session at beautiful Lake Montriond, a Go Ape style high ropes/zip wire morning and a wealth of other suggestions. We also had some lovely family bike trips too and a trip up to Avoriaz for the day, which is great for children. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and located just a short walk from the main town. All the food was delicious (special thanks to the chefs for accommodating our son’s dairy free diet) and all staff are so friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Emma the activities leader and Alice who was our 7 year old’s favourite! Our children loved playing at the pool with new friends after a busy day on the hills. Bikes were also available all week, fitted by very lovely guys. NB you do need to rent proper downhill bikes for the MTB trails. The multi pass is brilliant for access to a variety of other activities. I’m certain we will be back, in winter or summer. Our biggest debate this week has been which season the Alps are more beautiful in! It’s a perfect set-up for families looking for a week of activities. Many thanks to everyone.

Four of us stayed here for Sking and have to say what a great friendly team at alpine elements from the coach transfer to the hotel . Food was lovely and the bar was good prices , the staff where always smiling and nothing was too much trouble and this is the second time I have stayed here . It’s a great location for the buses to both ski areas Avoriaz and Morzine only a few yards away from the front door . The Pool was great lovely and warm and the jacuzzi and steam room just added to the great amenities of the hotel at the end of a ski day . If I ever ski in Morzine again this hotel will be my first choice . Big thank you to Dan and all of his team for helping make our week fantastic . Thank you

Just back from my second 4 day trip to Chalet Philibert this year and had another fantastic stay. In case anyone isn't sure about the 4 day package, if you time it right it is possible to do 2 full days and 2 half days skiing. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and although on the small side, it really doesn't matter if you're there to ski! The team are all so friendly and happy, and work hard to make sure their guests are happy too. Special mention to Jordan for his fabulous cocktails and Sophie, Ben and Thea for their hard work and smiles in the restaurant and room service.
