Holiday Inn Munich - Westpark

Munich|1.86km from Wholesale Market Munich
This hotel is located a few train stops away (Station: Harras) from the central train station, so it was not difficult to get to it. The infrastructure of the city is such that getting around is relatively easy. One just has to follow the directions on a map, whether physical or online, and you are good to go. The check-in process was smooth. I realise getting up and walking to where my room is, that the hotel is quite large, so if you are not up to walking a lot; ask for a room close to the elevator. The room is large and well maintained. I appreciate the bottle of water on top of the minibar fridge for guests. There is a breakfast place just a short walk away if having breakfast at the hotel is not something you would like. Not a minor issue, but it does say in the directory of services that laundry items sent in before 8.30am would be returned by 7pm the same day. However, mine was not and luckily, I was not departing the hotel the next day. It was attributed to a manpower shortage, says the front desk team member; and I know it to be a prevalent issue worldwide. The internet connection in the room is also very slow, especially in the evenings, in my opinion. If you decide to forgo the servicing of your room, hang a “go green” pouch on the doorknob and you will receive a surprise gift. Aside from the bakery around the corner, there are a few eateries close by. Despite the shortcomings, it was an enjoyable, fuss-free stay.

This is a lovely warm hotel. We arrived late due to rail strikes, which made transport to the hotel a pain. However, once we were checked in, we were straight up the the room which was toasty (really toasty!). Breakfast was a continental buffet style with plenty of everything and some of the items changed on a daily basis. The hotel bar was open on Saturday and Sunday, where their barman, Boris was extremely friendly, warm, polite and helpful. He also takes a keen interest in football. I would also like to give Filip and his team at reception a shout out as they were extremely helpful. For those who read the reviews saying they could not speak either English or German, we found this to be simply not true. Their English was fluent as was their German. We had wanted to come back out to Munich specifically to stay here again this year but unfortunately that will now have to wait until next year. If you want the u-bahn, it is a 2 minute walk from the hotel reception (turn left from the door, left again, cross at the lights and you are there).

Everything was excellent. Few steps from S-bahn and U-bahn stations, 1 minute :) 4 stops to Marienplatz (city centre) with u-bahn. 4 stops to central train station with s-bahn. Only 15 minutes. Breakfast was excellent. You can find Mediterranean breakfast; olive, tomatoes, lettuce, fried eggs. There are many more alternatives. Because of its location and excellent breakfast, I would stay there if I go to Munich again. But there isn’t mini bar. I prefer cold water even if it’s snowing.

The environment is good, the bathroom is not big, the use is quite convenient, the breakfast is better, the lack of air conditioning, the room is very hot during the day, only a small fan, the room TV is small, it seems that some are not used to it.

A really lovely hotel, 24 hour check in was handy, room was a great size and the kitchenette was handy if staying longer. Really close to train station but in a nice quiet area and quick into the city. Would stay again if ever visiting Munich. Beds all comfy and staff friendly.

How to say it, the unit price of 900 a night includes double breakfast, mixed good and bad: Advantages: The service is enthusiastic, all are middle-aged and elderly waiters, especially the breakfast bag meal service is particularly good, the breakfast is really rich. No problem with hygiene. Very close to the subway station and very convenient. The hotel can provide a free parking space card, which saves a lot of parking fees and can be exchanged for a deposit of 50 euros. The hotel is decorated in an old-fashioned style, but the hygiene looks good. Disadvantages: The room is really very small. The bed in the twin room is only about 90mm. It feels like half of the person has to swing outside. Sleep is seriously insecure~The hotel has only one floor fan, the sound is a bit loud, it should be used for some years, and some affect sleep. Come to play next time, although the service is very good, but I still don't know how to choose it
