Hotel Sa Pedra

Unbelievable , anyone stays here is crazy, worst stay in my life from any hotel . No parking anywhere night mare , then try and give us a room on highway with 70 stairs up , absolutely unacceptable , then there is full blown party on premises , and no one is allowed to use the pool , noise from other rooms right through floors all night . Staff loud cleaning form party it’s 1 am , Then wake up and find a huge spot light shining in our room , bizarre!!! This is the worst hotel ever !!!!!! The bed as hard as rock could not sleep . Note I do. Or complain or write reviews but this I have never experienced , Run!!!

We arrived very late from Rome and were warmly & professionally welcomed by Emanuel. Our room was perfect for the 3 of us- a king bed and a twin in an almost second room. A lovely big balcony provided us with fresh air and a place for late night reading. The amenities in the room were ample and the place was modern, stylish and immaculate. The next morning we decided to extend our stay for a 2nd night so we could take advantage of the spacious pool, gardens, and free shuttle to the nearby beach. The buffet was plentiful with eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit,juices, coffee, teas, pancakes, cheeses, and ham, all fresh and delicious. Back at the front desk, the lovely Marcela provided us with answers to every question. She also recommended the name of a nearby pizza restaurant and the finest dining option, Portolano. After a quick swim for my laps, we took the shuttle to the beach. The pool was just a bit chilly due to the cooling September nights, but easy to acclimate. Both Emanuel & Marcella as well as everyone else at the hotel made our stay a perfect launch to our Italian vacation. We would absolutely return!

Warm, friendly staff greet you in a charming hotel that has excellent cuisine and lovely gardens. Sardinia is beautiful though the local town of Murta Maria is not particularly pretty. The town does have a small supermarket, excellent ice cream parlour, fruit shop and bakers. The hotel has a cafe which sells incredible pastries and snacks. The hotel offers a free bus shuttle to a local beach and another beach is in walking distance. Local busses run to Olbia and San Teodore but not very frequently. A taxi to Olbia is 40 Euros each way. There are quite a few steps to negotiate at the hotel so physically challenging. Breakfast is mainly Continental but with bacon and scrambled eggs available. Lunch and dinner are 3 courses. First and second courses each have four options with a pastry for desert. Portions are generous. The food is delicious. Some other guests questioned the 4 star rating but we certainly had no problem with it.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, we had lovely views from our room including Porto Istana. Room was lovely and kept very clean and tidy. In a quite location with a few restaurants near by. Staff was friendly and helpful. One negative I would say was breakfast, I would say there should be more choice but the delicious pastries were delicious. I would definitely go back for another holiday here.

Nice rooms and lovely surroundings in the hotel grounds. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly. The poolside bar staff were the best, Tonio and his young colleague deserve a special mention. Plenty of free shuttles to the beech.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. No local bars and only a couple of restaurants, one of which the staff were extremely rude and looking on there websites many state they do not like the English. When we finally got to our room of which we had booked a sea view we had a brick wall and a roof to look at. Complained to the lady and she said we do not have any sea views in this hotel. I was told different from another guest I spoke to. We ate and the hotel restaurant that night which was nothing special but very expensive. Went back to our room and the air conditioning was not working Called reception initially they said they couldn’t do anything till the morning. However a guy did arrive and said we can move to the room next door. We did that however the air conditioning was not working there either so had to sit in the balcony most of the night. We arrived for breakfast and was greeted by a waiter who was so stern and had no english so had no idea what he was saying. Every morning we had the same experience, no welcome or even a smile. This made myself and daughter feel so uncomfortable. The staff were talking to all the Italian guests. Not only that they never cleared our plates etc but so attentive to the Italian guests. We had a soggy sandwich at the pool bar and cold fries. Also they got the order wrong We took the shuttle to the beach and to say overcrowded is an understatement. No toilets ,one little shack that sold minimal food . The other beach they mention which is 0.9 km away was awful. You had to walk through dirt tracks which were highly littered. I came on this holiday with my 18 year old daughter to have a wonderful holiday before she leaves for university A absolute disgrace. And the other few English said exactly the same.

Good location, clean and tidy hotel and communal areas, could do with more selections for breakfast but other than that I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We only stayed for a week and wished we could have stayed longer.

Just come back from this hotel after a weeks family stay. I'll start with the two positives, extremely clean and nice reception team and Tonio the bar man. The rest of the staff made us feel unwelcome. The hotel is in a small town, with a few restaurants. Not one restaurant made us feel welcome, they clearly didn't want tourists and went out of their way to make it an unpleasant experience, giving locals their time and attension and leaving us so long we had to ask if our food was coming. Others staying at the hotel experienced this behaviour. I can't even say we had a good meal to be honest. The hotel tell you that the beach that is a 20 min walk away is rubbish (didn't get time to check the closer beach) and say the beach is better that the free shuttle takes you to, utterly beautiful beach but totally jam packed, mostly locals. We were met with the same hostility and we were told that all the sunbeds were reserved until September but plenty were empty. So many things happened to write on here and it really makes me sad that we and others were made to feel that way. I would never go back there again, so I guess they win. Massive disappoin**ent.

We recently returned from one week stay here. A huge thanks to very friendly reception staff, mainly Marcella and Elisa, who spoke fluent English and were extremely helpful with all ours very many questions and enquiries. I have to agree with previous reviews that savoury part of the breakfast is rather basic, eggs and bacon often cold and no fresh veggies available except whole tomatoes which you supposed to slice yourself, rather random. Pastries were really delicious though. On check out, I commented regarding signage by the centre children pool requesting guests not to splash which is ridiculous, kids are kids, and they came here to enjoy! Cleaner shouldn’t have a need to mop the floor of the attached (always empty) restaurant every now and then, but same time I didn’t appreciate angry gestures and shouting whilst doing so. Please put the screens up-problem solved. Superior room upgrade was nice but 4* should really have an iron available in the room. Multa Maria is a small town with several restaurants only, where majority waiters don’t speak even basic English (including waiting staff in our hotel) and acted rather hostile even if we attempted to communicate in Italian with them. I thought it might be just my impression but few other guests in the hotel felt the same. Unfortunately, due to rather unwelcoming a**osphere in all the town restaurants and issue with the “no splashing policy” by the hotel pool, we would hesitate to come back.
