This place is my heaven. Calm, caring, mindful and truly family-friendly hospitality; utterly delicious, locally produced food (included in price), a wonderful spa, all surrounded by stunning wildlife. There is even a chance to see proper megafauna like tiger and elephant in their natural environment on the safaris. Just WOW. I hope I can come back. The early morning walk with local naturalists was the best part for me, included in the price. The whole place has a deep ethos of supporting the local tribal community and being as sustainable as possible. For me, Red Earth Kabini is the spa hotel to end all spa hotels.

I recently stayed at Red Earth Resort and had a very disappointing experience. The housecleaning was subpar, I'd give it -10/10 – the room was dirty, with visible stains and mold. The food was slightly better but still lacking, only deserving a 2/10 – it was poorly cooked and took too long to arrive. The overall hospitality was abysmal, at a -5/10 – the staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in addressing any of our concerns. Overall, I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Poor hotel , poor staff , snake in pool , no games for the kids no play area for kids , mosquitos , bad poor smelly rooms , no refund policy. We lost 59 k as so high rates and we left the hotel. Staff not giving refund. No proper management for such an expensive hotel. Never go don’t suggest even poor agent who suggested it. Never never go. Waste of money

There sales people lie to you while booking and there hotel staff is completely unsupportive of their lack of coordination with their sales people. We travelled with kids from Bangalore to get informed that their sales people forgot to inform their resort staff about our safari and we had to cancel without checking in and then they charged us while agreeing that it was their sales staff mistake. Completely unprofessional staff and ownership.

Red Earth is a nature resort near the shore of the kabini river, cottages are set within the undisturbed wilderness..This isnt among the polished luxury resorts, with well-trained staff, instead it is run sustainably by the local community who do best to make you feel at home. You will experience a sense of well- being as you spend a day here, living with the nature, with all its chaos and calmness. The food spread is well served and mostly tasty. Pls. Note that there is no air-conditioning at common places like the restaurant, reception etc. Recommend the night trail within the property (we spotted an owl and a 9 spotted lady big!) and a stroll by the kabini lake side (a delight for bird lovers).Overall a good stay,! Although a bit overpriced in season.

Living with nature seems to be the mantra of this property, which is beautifully designed. The cottages are placed among the trees, shrubs, bamboo ...like a mini forest. The property is on the banks of River Kabini, which offers a beautiful place to walk and be one with nature. The bar is good. The only drawback is the maintenance of the cottages, which leaves much to be desired.

We were 13 friends who spent 3 nights at The Red Earth Kabini. The staff were very pleasant and obliging, and the food was really Excellent. Our cottages had a front verandah, leading to a semi covered space with a hot tub made of stone, flanked by 2 very large chairs , a coffee table, and a large slatted table to keep one's suitcase on. Unfortunately, the hot tub was full off dust and a few leaves in and around it, so was very uninviting. This space led to our bedroom, which was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, with spotlessly clean linen. But the rest of the bedroom had a lot of wooden furniture, cupboard, table , etc, which looked dusty and unpolished. There was one chair, whose seat was stained a dirty yellow, so we couldn't bring ourselves to use it. There was a flat screen TV that did not work, and a safe that didnt work as well. The attached bathroom was very large and clean and spacious, with really good, scalding hot water in the shower, so no complaints there. The bedroom led out to the back verandah, overlooking the forested property, with a very appealing view, with 2 large leather chairs, which Looked good , but were extremely uncomfortable. The only way to sit in them was to line the chair with 2 pillows from the bedroom. The staff booked us for an evening safari, which was brilliant, as we sighted a tiger right away, who walked across , marked a tree, crossed the road, went and sat in the water body to cool off, yawned, groomed herself, stretched, and basically gave us an amazing sighting, barely 10 feet away, before slowly walking off into the forest for a nap, without 120 odd gawking humans. This resort is kid friendly, has a nice cafe called wonky monkey, with books, games, and some interesting memorabilia. But everything looks dusty and worn. If only the management can spruce up this aspect, it would completely change the look of this resort.

Located in a nice environment, surrounded by forest and water. Good eating place with cafe, bar and dining. Room door locks are broken and need fixing. by the way, those of you who want to do a jeep safari or a van safari, my advice is that you book directly with the forest dept and not through red earth as the price charged by Red Earth is nearly 3 times that you would pay if you book directly.

Full Marks for the beautiful stay we had here. The cottages are beautiful and the jacuzzi makes it all the more special. We enjoyed long walks, feeding the animals, swimming, horse riding, the food, the pool, the night walk, the bonfire , the documentary, the bar , the waterside area, the boating, fishing, et all Great place to stay for families. We went to the safari and had booked the tickets online thru the government site.
