Also, it costs 3,600 yen per night for just a futon for children over 4 years old, so it's quite expensive. At the very least, I think the fees should be divided between infants, elementary school students, and junior high school students.

The manager also apologized to each customer, and all the hotel staff managed to guide you quickly! I felt that. We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

If you come to Nagano and want to try a ryokan then this place is well worth staying. It is located along a line of shops leading up to the Zenkoji Temple, you have to walk past the large angry wooden statues on your way there. We had Room 28 which had its own on-suite shower and toilet. There are stairs to get to this upper level and the room is found after a squeaky journey on wooden floorboards. The Ryokan is not cheap but a stay is worth the experience if you can afford it. The family that runs this Ryokan are wonderful people. They are always smiling and greeting you and seem genuinely interested in you. They do not speak a lot of English but I should have made more of an effort to learn some simple Japanese phrases. One thing I can recommend is to have at least one dinner meal from this Ryokan as it is exceptional. The lovely people bring out all the courses one after another and you are full at the end. You can order sake which was the clincher for me. We walked North from the Nagano Train Station and takes about ~25 minutes. There are buses and taxis but the walk was not too difficult. If you try walking there during the night time, it can be very dark after you walk past the wooden angry statues (the Ryokan has a lantern and is on the left side as you approach the temple). The Zenkoji Temple just along from the ryokan can be visited multiple times during your stay.

The bus from Shinjuku station can go directly, but Nagano station was a little far from the hotel, But the hotel atmosphere was good, old but beautiful! !! !!

The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the JR station, and there are bus stops to Kamikochi and Hakuba nearby. The hotel looks like a converted commercial meeting place. The reception desk is located on the second floor. The staff is very polite and introduces the hotel facilities when checking in. There is a bathhouse on the tenth floor. Remember to use the elevator on the left to go to the tenth floor. There are all-you-can-eat ice bars on the second and tenth floors. Dessert. The room is spacious, the bathroom is slightly soundproofed, and you can hear conversations in the next room. Overall feeling good

The public bath is not very big, but it was very clean and nice. The room is still new and very clean, so I think it was good to use it. Also, even though I was late for check-in, I felt comfortable with a very good response. There were many kinds of breakfast, and it was so big that I could not eat all kinds.
