Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel

I booked this hotel two months in advance, paying 980 RMB per night including breakfast. However, on the day I checked in, my colleague found the price was 580 RMB per night with breakfast. Early check-in cost an extra $30. I appreciated that the power outlets were universal Chinese type, so I didn't need an adapter. The breakfast offered steamed buns, noodles, and chopsticks. While it was nothing special, it was decent enough. The outdoor seating at the restaurant was very comfortable. On the downside, the room facilities were outdated, and the hygiene was just average. There was a strange smell from the wardrobe and the sink, and some areas were quite dirty. On the positive side, the staff were all very nice. If the price had been under 500 RMB per night, I would have found it acceptable. But paying nearly 1000 RMB per night, I felt like I got a raw deal.

The hotel has relatively convenient transportation, quite well-equipped facilities, and is fairly clean with a nice environment. It offers great value for money and is a suitable hotel for a transit or overnight stay in Nairobi.

By local standards, it's a pretty good hotel. Decent breakfasts.

This hotel is owned by a Chinese proprietor and has 150 rooms. The breakfast is really good, especially the freshly made egg pancakes with that lovely 'wok hei' ( smoky flavor). The room facilities and cleanliness are on par with hotels like Home Inn or Hanting. Don't expect much from the hairdryer, but the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The rooftop pool isn't very big, about 20 meters long, and there's a gym on the fourth floor. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I'd definitely come back.

Booked this for a friend, and they said it was pretty good. Lots of dining options nearby too.
