Great alternative to a hotel. Spacious apartment. Comfy bed and pillows. No front desk, but someone to help is always just a few clicks away on the Sonder app.

Space was not in great condition, with chipping paint in tub and on walls. Found some trash in kitchen cabinets. Staff relatively responsive to issues that arose. Location was close proximity to Vanderbilt.

Online communication was very clear. All the specific entry codes helped create the sense of excellent security. The unit was less-than-excellent in terms of comfort: The one tiny, dim light in the corner of the bedroom was not sufficient for reading in bed. The floor lamp in the living room did not work, so overhead lights were the only lighting (very very bright). Unit was very clean except for the small kitchen table and chairs which had crumbs on them. The location was excellent for walking to the VU Medical Center and local restaurants.

The stay at Belcourt was not what I expected. The toilet was wabbly, the shower floor was dirty and sticky. They took over an hour to receive our parking key. The main door jam was damaged when we got there. We told them about our situation and they said that they will look into it after we leave. Finally, we have contacted them about 2 months before our arrival date to respectfully cancel our reservation, they denied our request. The reason why they decided not to cancel was because we purchased our reservation from a 3rd party. We will be going back to Nashville in the near future, but will think twice about the lack of customer service from Sonder.

Perfect place to stay as a solo-traveler. It was in a neighborhood that had a variety of dining options and shops, right next to Vanderbilt University. It felt safe walking around and it wasn’t too far from downtown, only a 10-15 minute drive. Loved the experience here, will definitely stay here again if I’m back in Nashville

We are in our seventies and had a little trouble checking into a hotel with no front desk, Once checked in we were very happy with the comfort and cleanliness of the unit. We will look for Sonder again.

Sonder is not a hotel. It is a short term rental of an apartment. That sounds good, initially. The downsides are these. Their service is all digital, unless you call for help. Then you will speak to someone from another country with limited prescribed options for helping you. The Sonder Belcourt in Nashville was hard to find, although the fine print digital instructions were accurate. There’s no front desk, just digital code numbers to 1. Use the elevator to get to the room; and 2. To open the door. In both cases tge fine print was accurate, but I and a local friend, a senior professor at Vanderbilt, had to try a couple of times to read carefully enough to operate the elevator and open the door. From then on it was fine. My only complaint was that the toilet was so short, I could barely use it. I almost thought a hole in the floor would have been equally useful. My primary complaint was in completing the registration, which took numerous failed digital trials (their system, not mine). The phone call to resolve this took the better part of an hour as they didn’t seem to be able to make it work either, and couldn’t take my information, all of they had previously been supplied through *******, by phone either. Supposedly the only needed my credit card data, which I was later told they already had. Instead I provided identity data digitally, enough to commit identity theft, and biometric data. Moreover, after completing that, I still did not receive instructions!

Overall, enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and well stocked. Great location! Walking distance to cute shops and great restaurants. Love the burgers at Hopdaddys :). Also, appreciate having a washer and dryer, very nice! The only thing that we weren’t thrilled with were the beds. But that’s a matter of preference, I suppose. The king bed was very, very firm. Just not what we’re use to. And the couch bed, well, it’s a couch bed. You could feel every bar under the mattress. Ouch. My daughter didn’t seem to mind so much, but I couldn’t have slept on it. The check in was a bit confusing, however, we figured it out. Once you get to your room, place your palm on the keypad to get it to light up. Then punch in the code they send you. Took us a while to figure out how to get the keypad to light up, Lol! Same to lock it as you’re leaving. Place your palm on the keypad and it locks. And, the key fob in the room is for parking! Take it with you to get in and out of the parking garage. Nice to supply! Thank you for that, Sonder! Just a few tips for those not techy like us :) I realize this is the way it is now with codes and such, but made me wonder how we’d get in the room if the power went out. I’m always troubleshooting what-if’s… bad habit haha! Again, overall, nice stay with great location.

Great apartment in awesome area. The initial communication email letting me know the check in process was a bit confusing. It made it sound harder than it actually was, so I was worried something would go wrong, but was not an issue at all. I work in comms so my recommendation would be to make the message easier to interpret.
