Elysian Fields Inn

This was our 2nd visit to Elysian Fields Inn and it did not disappoint. Our room was spacious and there was ample common space to hang out in. The breakfasts were delicious and put us in good standing for spending our days having fun in NOLA. We love the neighborhood as it is quieter than the hubbub of the French Quarter but still nearby. We also grew to appreciate the proximity to the Riverside tram which got us into other parts of town easily and cheaply.

Genuinely wonderful experience; Michelle and Bob make an amazing breakfast and hang out with the guests at the breakfast table sometimes. They help with booking experiences and cabs and suggest fun things to do in NOLA. The location is perfect too. Highly recommend this inn.

This was our fourth time staying at The Elysian Fields Inn. That pretty much tells the story. It is perfect for us and will be for you if......1)You want a great location near the French Quarter, Frenchman Street, Marigny, Bywater, etc. with easy access to other parts of town. 2) You want a beautifully maintained inn with comfortable rooms, nice linens, and the best breakfasts you'll find at a B&B. 3) You appreciate innkeepers who know their business, know their town, and will do anything to make your stay fun. The Elysian Fields Inn is a great value. I'm sure we will be returning for #5.

This was a delightful discovery. First off, the setting is lovely, a nicely restored old house (connected to a small hotel). Decoration was nice throughout without being obtrusively overdone (as happens too often). We lingered for a couple of hours over an excellent brunch. This included drinks (I can vouch for the quality of the 'perfect Sazerac' and the coffee; others were happy too. I had a version of a benedict that I liked a lot. The consensus around the table was that food was all very good though not super-special.

Michelle and Bob are wonderful hosts and their inn is top notch. We will try to stay here for all of our future NOLA stays. Bob is a dynamo in the kitchen and breakfast did not disappoint. Neighborhood is welcoming, walkable, and safe. Just a couple blocks gets you to Frenchman and a few more to Bourbon. Unsure what you would like to do, just ask, Bob and Michelle have a million options and the inside scoop on some of the best food and music in town.

My first experience with a Bed & Breakfast was a home run at Elysian Fields Inn. From the warm welcome upon arrival, to the very spacious rooms with en suite bathrooms, to the delicious breakfast every morning, Michelle & Bob were kind, warm and welcoming hosts. We booked the whole Inn as a group and it was so much better than booking a house - since every room has its own bathroom. And no one has to make breakfast! Stop looking, stay here.

Outstanding accommodations and a great location, and very tasty breakfasts. I'd highly recommend this spot for a group vacation so everyone can enjoy the whole property together. We all had a great time in the common area, and were perfectly comfortable in the nicely appointed, large bedrooms.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for a birthday weekend and had the best time. Great location for walking to the different neighborhoods. We loved spending mornings enjoying breakfast with Michelle and the other guests at the Inn.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, friendly bed and breakfast in a great location, the Elysian Fields Inn is a terrific option for NOLA. The Inn is positioned near the French Quarter, a short walk to highly rated restaurants such as Paladar 511, and to great jazz clubs such as Snug Harbor and the Spotted Cat. You’ll meet lots of friendly and interesting people at the Inn, as I did during my recent five-night stay. Hosts Michelle and Bob serve delicious breakfasts and bent over backwards to accommodate all dietary restrictions. They were also impressively flexible and accommodating to our varied travel schedules. The Inn itself has loads of old-world charm – high ceilings, chandeliers, and lovely furnishings – but also provides all modern conveniences (great water pressure and plentiful hot water, terrific climate control, and comfortable beds). There is a terrific bookstore/coffee shop (Baldwin and Company) just a block away, a Starbucks across the street, and a wonderful food court (St. Roch Market) and market (Robert’s) just around the corner.
