Sonder at 1500 Canal

Good location & proximity to bourbon street. Public transit close by. The rooms were a little dated (no dresser in bedroom - lamps dated / one broken) & somewhat unfinished furnishings. Lots of space - good size. Took us a few days to get bowls in the kitchen after requesting. Entertainment unit was not functional unable to connect devices. Roof top pool was open but not heated.

The property was huge and very comfortable for 2 couples. The TV situation was less than desirable as there was no option for just local channels. Extra blankets would have been appreciated too. But overall it was a great property and a short walk to Bourbon or anywhere. I would recommend

Paid extra to arrive early and the code to get in the room would not work. After being on the phone for 30 minutes, because they have no hotel staff, they got ahold of maintenance who arrived 10 minutes later. Toilet stopped up twice. Shower was stopped up and looked like a bath after taking a shower. The BED was tilted and was not flat on the ground. Very uncomfortable to sleep. Would NOT stay here again!!

Great property at a great location, just a few minutes walk down Canal to the French Quarter. Ubers and Lyfts are plenty and easy to access. Long corridors and more spacious than the pictures show.

The Sonder apartment was a nice size and had new appliances, and a comfy bed. However, not long after we got settled, we saw that the unit was poorly kept, there were missing cabinet doors, no hangers, insufficient kitchen supplies, mold and cracked tiles in the bathroom. It took several visits to get enough hangers, plates and basic supplies, but then we realized the heat wasnt working. We had no heat for 4 full days and the temp in the apt never got above 60 degrees. Then our dishwasher just stopped working. So we had no working dishwasher and no sink stopper and had to wash dishes from a large pot bc there was no other way to have dishwater. I called Sonder, and finally got the heating fixed, but the rest was never fixed and there was ZERO followup. I was told they would credit us for the days we had no heat, but that never happened. I called 3 more times and texted the "24/7" in the app, but no one from Sonder ever responded beyond 'someone will be in touch' So, it was not a great first experience with Sonder. They are quick to respond with small requests (like soap) but getting a response for bigger issues (like no heat and broken appliances) was impossible. I couldve overlooked the age and damage, but they got my money upfront and Sonder did nothing compensate our trouble.

The space, for what we’re paying, is very comfortable and reliable. We have been treated with much grace and understanding by the staff. A great staff is one that excels in the field they represent and also excels in dealing with people. Numerous encounters transpired and each one represented the principles laid out as fundamental values by our forefathers.

It was nice having a washer & dryer, but a short person cannot reach the dryer and no stool available. The worst thing was 3 false alarms making super load persistant noise and requiring us to evacuate the bldg via the stairs. We were on the 17th floor.

There was a fire alarm 2 days in a row going off for atleast one hour (one at 5 am). I found it slightly frustrating that the people at the jung hotel often didn’t know what was going on, and there was a small wait to get in contact with someone on the app. All in all, the place was cute and very clean. Closet space was great.

We are a family of 6 adults visiting New Orleans for a couple of days over Christmas. The apartment was an excellent option for us instead of having to get 2 hotel rooms. Very quiet, spacious apartment; had plenty of room to spread out when not out seeing the sights. The location was good... streetcar pickup location right across the street. Took approx. 15 minutes or so to walk to Bourbon Street. (We felt safe walking as a group, even at 1:00 am) Restaurants are nearby plus we ordered DoorDash a couple of times and had no issues. We did have problems getting our rental car so we didn't end up needing parking but I wouldn't pay the extra money for valet parking. There is a very affordable lot right across the street. The only real negative to our stay was the king-size bed in the master bedroom; it was AWFUL!! Very little support under the bed so the mattress was in a "V" shape...you sunk or rolled to the middle. It was very uncomfortable!
