Nikko Kanaya Hotel

Last September, I had dinner at Nikko Jingu and had a good impression. This time, I booked a newly renovated room in the new building with breakfast and dinner. The room is 31 square meters, with high ceilings, facing the sun, and has a large space. The decoration style is elegant and retro. The room has two defects: one is the noise. The air conditioner is loud, the windows are not soundproof at all, and the traffic outside is very loud. I have to wear earplugs or Apple earplugs to listen to music in the room, otherwise I can't fall asleep and stay in the room. The second is that the shower stands in the bathtub, and there is a small dirty piece of the shower curtain. This restaurant does not have a large bathroom, so you can only take a shower in the room. The window leaks a little light. The crab cakes and Jingu-style boiled fish for dinner are very unpalatable, and the ice cream in the dessert is very good. In terms of service, some of the restaurant waiters are excellent and some are average. They leave without saying goodbye. The quality of food and service is not as good as the low-priced Chuzenji Jingu. I observed that there are only 3 rooms in the new building that are not noisy, but there is a row of rooms near the courtyard in the main building. The location can walk to the temples of Shinkyo and Toshogu. There is a shuttle bus, see Figure 1. Jingu is a long-established hotel. I hope it will get better and better. I will stay here again when I come to Nikko.

Although the hotel is old, the service staff are very nice, the breakfast is very rich, and the view outside the window is superb.

Kanaya Hotel is a hotel that I have always wanted to go to. You can learn about the history of the hotel by taking a tour of the hotel. In particular, the breakfast service is made with care and attention to detail, and the service is also very considerate.

In addition to the in-room services, it was also close to Toshogu Shrine, the embassy's villa, and Kegon Falls, which were easy to access. As expected, this is the first classic hotel.

The hotel has a sense of age, so it is a bit shabby. The rooms are okay and the environment is good.

It was my first time at Kanaya Hotel, and it was great.

I was very satisfied.
