Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Muang Ngoy chez Penny&Gabriel … nous avons pu tester lés bungalow classiques et ceux « de luxe » et avons vraiment apprécié les deux , le calme, la vue … Penny et Gabriel nous ont chaleureusement accueillis, Gabriel nous a donné plein de conseils… nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison , si bien que nous avons prolongé notre séjour et avons même fait demi tour depuis Nong Kuaw pour revenir ! Merci à vous pour l’accueil et pour les excellents repas chez Penny ( les spring rolls sont incroyables , le Suzy et le pad thaï délicieux , les sandwichs un régal et le petit dej buffet ….🤗)…et à bientôt ! This gorgeous little newly built resort is a little bit out of the tourist area in Luang Prabang but this made it a quiet oasis. Easy tuk tuk ride across the bridge for about $5.50 US or we just hired a motorcycle for 48 hours for $20 US. The room was huge and so was the bed. Definitely bigger than a standard king bed. Absolutely spotless rooms, grounds and pool. Excellent breakfast and the meals were lovely, especially the mango sticky rice that they cooked up just for us! Helpful, friendly staff. I wish we’d had more time to spend here. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to stay here again in the future.

This hotel is good Samsung, clean, but the only thing is that Trip.com is $65 when it is booked. It will charge $75 when you arrive at the store. If you ask Trip.com customer service is $10, it is a city tax. Why didn't Trip.com indicate that there is a $10 hotel tax in advance? Cosset a small city, dirty, dusty hotel tax 10 dollars is too high, we went to Vientiane Wanrong Prabang hotels for the city tax, the hotel has a beautiful woman who can speak Chinese, Chinese is very good

Due to an unexpected situation, we were kindly moved from our original hotel to Villa Deux Rivieres where the management provided us with excellent, spacious accommodation overlooking the Nam Khan river. We were later moved to a different room which was also very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The location was excellent as we were easily able to walk to the main shopping areas, temples and restaurants in this beautiful city. The villa is well set up for breakfast, and we enjoyed ours on the verandah overlooking the river. Although not all reception staff are fluent in English, they went out of their way to help us, especially with booking transport. We traveled to Laos in early December which was sunny and dry during the day but quite cold at night. If travelling at this time of year, consider packing a jumper and warm sleepwear. The villa organised to have laundry done for us - cheap and of a high standard.

I took a half day emountain bike this morning with 2 other people. I was super excited having paid $75 for it, had high expectations... The bike itself looked fine, however it could not handle steep hills. I asked another guest on the tour to test it as I was really struggling. He said it had no oomph or power on the steeper hills. He too ended up pushing it which he didnt have to do at all on his bike at any point. The others were motoring through pain free and they were older than me. The guide tested and said it was fine. Of course. The climbs were steep and it was exhausting. We never got to stop for photos or admire the scenery and it felt like an endurance test. We were then taken on a hike to some caves but I couldn't manage it after the exertion of getting there. The guide never checked on me and just let me go down alone. There was a van with three men in it (at this point I didn't know they were going to take my bike to the next village). As a solo traveller my first thought is my safety. Here I am waiting (no phone signal) in the middle of nowhere with these three young men there. The woman in my group observed there was 'bedding in the back'. It was unacceptable. I was then deposited I'm a village somewhere (alone) and waited for the others. Please note I am fit, lift weights and play badminton in a league. I have also played semi professional football. I gave them the opportunity to make it right but as ”the guide said it was fine” it clearly was, fine. Breathtaking. I also felt the reply had a degree of judgement in it ”difficulties completing the course” like I'm a 39st unit! There are no managers/decision makers on site. A premium price for a basic product- should have just hired a mountain bike for a tenth of the price. I hate giving bad reviews and if it had cost a bit less then I probably wouldn't but I really think people should know they are rolling the dice with this company. Absolute waste of time and money. Lunch was ok. Avoid. I feel so mugged off.

The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The room is a cabin with a distinctive wooden structure. The door is Tahe. The breakfast is rich. The little girls in the restaurant are always smiling. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the night market 4 road. The hotel intimately provides a pick-up and drop-off vehicle is very convenient. Wine The manager of the store, Ahe, a handsome young man. Chinese is very good. Warm and patient. People are particularly good. Recommended to stay.
