Really enjoyed the stay here, in the countryside, quiet. My room was phenomenal, a suite with separate seating area and TV with a super comfy bedroom. Decor was in great condition and the view over the river was stunning. Food in the restaurant was good and a bargain price with the 10% discount you receive for staying there. Staff were great warm and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice looking pub with lovely river opposite Accommodation was round the back with separate door to enter which had a key code lock where a key to enter is stored in a box this was explained to us as the pub shuts early due to low season. We returned around 11:30pm put the code in and no key was in the box we then had to call an emergency number and somebody had to travel to us to let us in a bit inconvenient for both parties I’m just glad I wasn’t on my own as it’s in the middle of nowhere Rooms were fine bed clean etc but I think it should state very clearly that the rooms share a bathroom as I didn’t notice that and would not have booked knowing this , the apartment they have though is lovely and has ample room and it’s own bathroom. Beer was good Breakfast next morning was fine not worth though the £25 for 2 people as you get a cooked breakfast with tea or coffee that’s it it’s just brought to you no buffet option or juice cereal etc and some of it was a bit cold Staff were fine I would stay again as to be honest what we paid wasn’t a lot but I’d prefer to pay a bit more and have my own bathroom I’d also recommend just having a coded door not a key in a box as I gather this problem will happen often

Great little place to stay, convenient and fairly priced. It is worth knowing that the cheaper rooms do have a shared bathroom but I was aware of this before I went. Friendly staff and you also get discounted food and drinks downstairs if you’re staying in the accommodation.

The boiler was broken but they did everything to make us comfortable .The lady who was behind the bar and a waitress and making up the wood burners was amazing and she is definitely a credit to them. Enjoyable stay will go back in the summer .

I slept like a baby to be fair. Yhe bed was ckean and comfy. ÞThe room was basic. As woman i felt a little vunerable. The shared bathroom had a flimsy lock and i didnt feel 100% safe. Would probably be absolutely fine and suitable for solo men having a cheap night. But from a womans perspective, definitely improve the bathroom lock and maybe just improve on a few home luxurys like a mirror in the bedroom.

On arrival the instructions that had been emailed prior to arrival didn’t work. When we entered the pub one of ‘the locals’ was rude to us. We felt like an inconvenience to the proprietor who said she couldn’t leave the bar to see to us then told us our key was in our room door but didn’t tell us what room number we were staying in. She left us in the room whilst she went downstairs to get another towel as only 1 towel had been left in the room. We quickly left and booked a Premier Inn locally. We didn’t stay at the accommodation. Very disappointed. By no fault of **********, we didn’t read thoroughly the accommodation we booked had a shared bathroom with the other residents so that was a misunderstanding on our part so I can’t really comment on the cleanliness of accommodation because we didn’t visit the bathroom. This accommodation should be advertised better as ‘a hostel’ and it should be made more clearly that the washing facilities are shared. Very disappointed but the Premier Inn was great.

The rooms are modern and well maintained with good quality furnishings and TVs, the only thing they could improve is the seating - folding chairs just aren't comfortable enough to really use. The staff are friendly and helpful although the rooms are very much self contained. The kitchen area is a really useful addition and it's very well equipped so entirely functional. Having a shared shower room didn't bother me personally, especially as the shower is extremely high quality. The food in the attached pub is good quality with a pleasant atmosphere and residents get a discount which is very thoughtful. No food on Sunday so alternative arrangements need to be considered.

My friends were staying at the back of the pub in their caravans … Six of them … As I’m on my own , I stayed in a single room at the pub which was just great . We had a pre- Christmas dinner and a great day was had by All I really hope we will come back again

My mother and i stayed here for 1 night. When we arrived at around 2.30 our room was not ready, despite being able to check in from 1pm. The lady at the bar went to check our room which took a good 5 mins, meanwhile we were just stood waiting. She returned to say it would be a few minutes as they were decorating and needed to move things before we could go up. When we got to our room, it was pleasant, however I had failed to notice that there was no bathroom when i made the booking. There was a shared bathroom, across the hall and around the corner. Had we realised this we probably wouldnt have booked. When we went to use the bathroom, it wasnt until i washed my hands that i realised there was no hand towel, so had to go back to my room with wet hands. My mother went to visit the bathroom a little later and was met by an elderly gentleman in just his shirt and hopefully his underpants (she didnt look to see, but he definitely had no trousers on) The next morning we went to the bathroom, the floor was soaking wet from another guest having a shower. There is no bath mat and still no hand towel. I would suggest maybe some paper hand towels. And perhaps one of the wooden bath mats you can get. Also a box of tissues in the bedroom would be nice, along with a hairdryer. The door to the accomodation is only accesed from outside and you need to use the key safe to get the key to enter. Which when it is raining is not nice. When we came to check out, no one was around to help
