The Miyamoto-Ke was highly recommended to us. Luckily our travel agent at Geoplan was able to arrange a booking for us. As longtime sumo fans, meeting Mr. Miyamoto (former Tsurugidake Teruki) was of course a very special highlight. The food, made from fresh and local ingredients, was excellent. Despite our limited knowledge of the Japanese language, the stay was relaxing and memorable thanks to the kind efforts of the owner, the Okamisan and all the staff involved. Highly recommendable!

We were able to enjoy various types of hot springs and baths for private use at no extra charge. What I particularly liked was that foot mats were provided for the group. I was very happy because it is rare to find an inn that takes this into consideration. Even with the smaller plan, the rice was so filling that I couldn't finish it. The sashimi and salt-grilled fish for dinner were delicious.
