Ohotuku Onsen Hotel Hinodemisaki

The most surprising thing about this accommodation experience is that you can enjoy the hot springs while watching the drifting ice under the sunset. The sunrise view in the morning is also great. The food for breakfast and dinner was quite rich, tasted good, and I was very full.

As the name suggests, it is located on the hill of Cape Hinode, and you can see the superb view of the Sea of Okhotsk from the room. The rooms and hot springs are clean, and the hot springs seem to have good quality. Especially the open-air bath is spacious and has a great view. You can see the sunrise from the rooftop. It's freezing cold even in September, but it's worth seeing. There is also a campaign where you can get a subsidy if you use Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport and stay in Oumu Town, so I would like to repeat.

I chose it because it was "a place with hot springs that I've never been to in eastern Hokkaido." There are only campsites around, and it feels like an "isolated island on land". The sea and the hills, it was a relaxing scenery that you can't find in Japan. The beauty of the sunset and sunrise seen from the rooftop and rooms of the hotel was beyond words. The rooms are clean and spacious. There was also instant coffee for drinks. It was convenient because you can choose the amenities you want from the amenity buffet in front of the elevator. The public bath was spacious, including the waiting room and dressing room. There were quite a few visitors who took a day trip to the bath. There are 27 washrooms, which is nice. For dinner, plenty of locally sourced food was used. When I asked a question, he answered one by one about which production area. We enjoyed the fresh ingredients. It's not flashy, but it was wonderful that each dish was served on a clean plate and served as a course. Breakfast was a set meal. I was grateful for the system that allows me to take coffee from the drink bar to my room. The shop sells dairy products such as cheese from local farms, so I bought some. There is a coin laundry near the public bath and on the 3rd floor, so I used it. The staff was also kind and spoke frankly. It's a difficult place to visit, but it's a place where you can enjoy the "luxury of doing nothing" and you'll definitely want to visit someday. I think that cost performance is not bad at the low 10,000 yen range even in the high season for one night with two meals.

I rented a car in Asahikawa and went sightseeing around Lake Saroma before heading to the inn. The view of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk from the window of the room was amazing. I was a little worried because there were some bad reviews about the food, but it wasn't like that and it was delicious (although it's not super luxurious). I was able to take a relaxing bath in the hot springs. It's hard to go to the site, but I want to visit again someday.

As the name of Hinode Cape suggests, the sunrise was the best. The open-air bath where you can see the sky full of stars and the Sea of ​​Okhotsk is also the best. The facility is not that new, but it is clean and easy to use. In addition to marine products, the souvenir shop also sells products from the neighboring farm in Okoppe, which is convenient. The staff is friendly and I would like to stay at this hotel again.

All rooms are spacious with ocean view. Meals are neither good nor bad. A single dish is better than a family restaurant. Breakfast is a Japanese set, with homemade salmon roe for sale, as well as boiled tofu and mizutaki. from morning…. The hot spring is spacious and the quality of the spring is good. Even on weekdays, there are so many, but on weekends and holidays, there are many local day trip baths. Most of them seem to be for sauna purposes, so I don't mind soaking in the bathtub. The parking lot in front of the building is always full with day trippers. If the timing is bad, the guest will be parked just a short distance away. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. Speaking of greed, if the food was a little better. It's tough for people who don't like sloths. It is even better if you can choose Japanese or Western breakfast.
