This hotel has been around for a while. Very beautiful. The hotel is very new, opened just last October. The service is very good, every staff is very enthusiastic. The hotel facilities are also very good. The hair dryer is a Dyson (rare in Europe), and the price is affordable. The breakfast is very big, with a lot of pastry. I really hope to come again. I originally wanted to book a suite, but I thought it was unnecessary for one person. Later I drove to see the suite and it was very worthwhile. I recommend it!

We stayed here as a couple in July 2026, just as Italy was experiencing a heatwave with daytime temperatures in the high 30s C. The temperature throughout the hotel was very well managed, making for a comfortable environment wherever we were. There is not a lot that I can really add to all the other reviews on TripAdvisor; this really is an exceptional hotel in all aspects of service and comfort. All of the staff were welcoming, engaging and extremely helpful with very good interpersonal skills. We were in room 101 on the first floor which is really spacious and has its own enclosed planting area the other side of a floor to ceiling glazed wall, which it is possible to access from the room. Ww found the large bed extremely comfortable and the breakfasts to be very enjoyable with the inclusion of fresh fruit and home/locally made produce, especially the cakes and pastries. Although the car park is situated the other side of the square from the hotel, the concierge service transported all of our luggage to and from the car for us. This must be one of the best city hotels we have stayed in.

WOW. Breathtaking hotel. Very intimate, beautiful, sexy, serene. Every corner to every smell and plant was thoughtfully curated. Hospitality was impeccable -- the entire staff is familiar with you and so helpful and welcoming. An intimate and unique experience. Concierge was wonderful with helping us book reservations and everything we needed. The cocktails were beautifully curated and Coro was an outstanding restaurant with even better staff. It is hard to beat a place like this -- I can't wait to go back!

We booked the hotel through Mr & Mrs Smith. The whole experience was amazing and faultless- from the welcome instructions, guidance to the car park and the warm welcome on arrival. We had room 206 - a top floor suite. An amazing room that had lots of space to relax. Amazing use of Crittal in the wardrobe area and bathroom. The breakfast experience was amazing - some of the best ever pastries and the Pain au Chocolat beat most of those in France. We followed their restaurant recommendations and both were excellent.

This is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my many travels. Worth every single penny. With only 9 rooms, the staff feels like your personal attendants. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, every detail was handled for us. We were traveling as a group of three couples and this was the perfect place for us to call home for our few days in Orvieto. My husband and I booked the penthouse suite and it offered us extra space and the large outdoor hot tub to host for an evening drink and dip. Each room was beautiful and this converted estate had such a peaceful and luxury feel. I will go back to Palazzo Petrvs in my dreams!!

We felt privileged to stay in this stunning renovation of a 15th century palace. The entrance leads to a gorgeous open courtyard with plants, trees, a fountain, and striped surfaces inspired by Orvieto’s Duomo. Our room (no. 1) was spacious with a majestically high ceiling; our bathroom was huge. Since the hotel has only nine rooms and suites, service was top notch. The location, only a few steps from the Duomo, is ideal. The opportunity to spend a few nights at the Palazzo Petrus would be reason enough to spend a few nights in Orvieto, even if the town itself were not so enchanting.

Some places are beautiful.
Some places are luxurious.
And then there are RARE places that completely suspend time. Palazzo Petrus was one of those places for us. Every detail feels thoughtful, every space carries emotion, and the entire property has a unique atmosphere that is almost impossible to describe properly. It is not simply a hotel stay, it is an experience! The Penthouse Suite, the atmosphere of Orvieto, the care of the team, and especially the extraordinary experience at Coro created something we will never forget. Coro itself deserves special recognition. The setting inside the former church is breathtaking, but beyond that, the cuisine, elegance, precision and emotion of the dinner were absolutely exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Mattia, Marco and the entire team for your kindness, attention and humanity throughout our stay. Some memories stay with you forever.
This is one of them.

A well appointed hotel very close to the Duomo and central to almost everything. Some really good restaurants around. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Marco and the girl at the front desk. The bar staff, the busboy, and the housekeeping all warm and welcoming. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. I was in 208.

What a lovely and personal hotel. The staff were amazing and helpful, the rooms were beautiful and the feeling of being in a modern and historic building was wonderful. We were fortunate to spend three nights and the hotel and had dinner at the Coro restaurant one night. I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant (which you must book ahead).
