Tokyu Stay Osaka Honmachi

Room was small but having a washing machine was great. BUT the cleanliness of the place is a big fail. It looked nice and clean… but we found piece of a fake eyelash on the bed (obviously none of us use fake lashes) from a previous guest?! …. And WORSE, a couple of days later when we entered the room we saw a huge cockroach on the carpet. As we got closer to check if it was indeed a cockroach it scuttled under the bed! After complaining to the hotel, they said they did not have any spare rooms to move us to! They offered to spray insecticide in the room but no way I’m sleeping in a room filled with insecticide and a cockroach. The manager refused to come out and see us and made the poor receptionist lady come and offer to clean the room for us (this was at 9+pm) but she changed her mind when I said I would have to see her actually capture the cockroach and remove it. After wasting at least half an hour of our time, they finally managed to “find” us another room to move to. No upgrade or anything. Same room but offered us free breakfast the next morning. The service was polite and nice (except from the hiding manager), but no I would not stay here again. There was also too many stairs to/from the train station to manage with luggage.

I had booked this hotel according to recommendations from Google and people for newest and cleanest in the area. Bathroom was horrendously dirty. There was ***** hair under the body wash and hair at the side of the bath tub. The drain also has molds. The bathroom smells dirty too. I was hoping to use this hotel again but I doubt this after the experience. You can see how dirty the exhaust is too. The piece of hair seemed to be strategically placed there for someone to see. Front desk staff are polite, kind and helpful during check in. That I must say I had shown the photos to the check out staff as well..

Lovely stay! Nice room a/c was wonderful, good location close to metro or can walk to lots of places

The location of the hotel is not centralised but still good enough for most of the tourist places, very near to 2 subway stations! The staff is extremely helpful, I have requested to send my big luggage to Tokyo, the staff is extremely kind and thoughtful, she helped me to settle everything and call the Tokyo hotel for Thé arrangement. It only cost me 3,060 JPY for a big luggage and save all my hassle since I will go to Wakayama first! Really appreciate the support and help!

The hotel is a very good budget hotel for longer stays. Cleaning is limited and no entry of cleaners if required which is good for people who prefers less invasion. Full cleaning incurs small fee. The breakfast venue is quite nice with a view although the menu is limited and repetitive. Having a washing machine and microwave is a plus for longer stays. It’s very near towards Dotonburi which has a covered walkway. The train subway is very near and metro entrance is about 5-10 mins walk (Exit 12) but too many stairs to trek. Quite tiring if you’re returning from a long day of tourist activities.

Clean room, washing and dryer machine combo, microwave in room. Conveniently located within 5 to 10min walking distance to 2 subway stations that cover the major subway lines in Osaka, making travelling to popular spots very easy. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of namba and doutonbori, but close enough and within 5min train ride away, or about 20min on foot. Highly recommended for groups of all sizes and will stay again if I return.

Convenient location. Room is simple and tidy, which makes me feel so comfortable. Just the pillow a bit too soft.
