Wonderful place, breathtaking view, friendly staff and they are so accommodating - especially with big groups. The rooms are spacious, with everything you need. The food is divine. There is so much to do in the area, or you can just spend your time in this wonderful setting, lounging by the pool and drink in the tranquility. Our second time here and we will be back again!

The location of this hotel is perfect for those seeking quiet and natural beauty. The heritage setting was special and we enjoyed the atmosphere of our room, even though the furniture could have been a little more comforatble. The beds were good, though. he verandah was very nice for an hour of relaxed reading. The restaurant (you have few options than to eat there) was very good. The breakfast too was excellent, but we were a bit surprised that we had to pay separately for our beverages.

A beautiful manor in an idyllic setting. Staff was extremely nice & helpful, everybody really walked that "extra mile" to make our stay a memorable one. Would always come back. Thanks again for the hospitality.

What a fabulous location out in the mountains. We had a great room with stunning views… you may not be so lucky… Room 2 is the best. Large bedroom too. Restaurant food was excellent and the staff friendly. Only wish we could have stayed longer. The bird life was a plus with close sightings in the hedgerows and fields.

We had a large bedroom overlooking the pool and a fantastic view of the mountains. The scenery is stunning. The room was very comfortable and clean with an excellent shower. Patat restaurant was a total surprise serving excellent food with an impressively good wine list at very good prices. The service provided on arrival by Elaine and on check out by Luhan was exceptional. Sadly only stayed one night but so relaxing.

The location is fantastic- The rooms and dinner very very expensive and poor. Despite my arrngement on booking that we need twin beds they was not prepared at all! We wait about an hour for them to get a room with two beds and that room was so small we could hardly move! For the price which was the most empensive in Karoo in 2 weeks it was very disspaointing. We will not recommend this lodge

Lovely 2 night stay here in a large room overlooking the pool. It’s about 40 minutes drive from Oudtshoorn right in the mountains and very peaceful. The staff were all excellent and very friendly and the grounds very well kept. We visited the Cango Caves on our first morning then had some time by the pool. Dinner was good - you have to pre-order. Ostrich steak one night and rump steak second night, served with vegetables. I was slightly disappointed with breakfast as everything was so sweet - muesli, strawberry yogurt (could have done with plain yogurt), banana bread, muffins. I did ask for some plain brown bread and got the last piece of a granary loaf which was nice but again very sweet. We left early the second morning to see the Meerkats - such a special experience.
