The Palace Hotel

Love this hotel friendly staff clean good entertainment.

Visited for my 40th birthday with my husband. We were upgraded to the Singer suite and the view from the large bay window was truly beautiful. The room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The room was dated and worn in places but it is an old building. A few of the light bulbs didn't work but the room had a lovely feeling and was clean. The best thing about this hotel has to be the Staff! The receptionists were amazing especially Stanze who really made us feel really welcome. She gave her all to every customer and I would definitely give her a raise! The food was also noteworthy. We had the 3 course meal in the lovely dining room. The sorbet as a pallet cleanser was a lovely touch. The food was all fresh and tasty! Breakfast was also perfectly cooked and there was plenty of choice for the continental. The swimming pool was very nice, but it is worth noting to book ahead way in advance for any beauty trea**ents. We tried to book massage a week in advance and they were fully booked. Swimming and meals should also be pre-booked. The bed, breakfast and room deal is good as it saves a lot and also includes free swimming which is otherwise £5 per room. Lastly, the artwork around the hotel really gave the place a luxurious feel and the grounds were well kept with adequate parking Looking forward to our next stay!

I specifically requested a quiet room and was put in a room next to the lift in the part of the passage where everyone on that floor has to walk past. And the floor creaked. Guests and staff also slammed doors. There is also no Aircon so it's really hot inside the rooms when the weather is good. On a positive note, the beauty trea**ent was really good. The hotel is close to the beach and is a lovely property overall.

Booked this as a last minute deal 3 night stay had a lovely room with a lovely sea view . The staff are so lovely and polite really helpful to makes your stay more enjoyable. The hotel is well maintained and lovely and clean the food is really good a great selection and tasty yo we also had a crea ten that was lovely to a nice relaxing stay

this hotel seems to have very good standards (unlike a lot of other hotels in the area.Fitted nicely into our budget. We were away for my girlfriends birthday

a la carte menu was not always available even though it was displayed in the reception area. I reported broken light in bathroom (room 29) but this was never repaired? These are small items but did stop me from giving a better review.

Re-furbishment needed in lounge areas, Hotel lost it's personal touch towards paying guests, too much Emphasis to satisfy the needs of coach parties. Used to visit the Palace when guests were Warmly received and have devoted attention throughout their stay

A lovely hotel in a great location ... large comfortable rooms and great facilities... super breakfast only issue I had was the creaky floor boards in the room above woke me up at 6am... suppose it's the perils of older buildings but it is a lovely old building!

Location of hotel brilliant, beautiful room with walk in shower, comfy bed, great food, very helpful and friendly staff.
