The Ambassador Hotel

we arrived on a Thursday afternoon upon check-in read a letter saying the pool was closed from April 21 through the 25th to learn that it was never going to be opened and no one alerted us of this prior to our arrival. The first room that was assigned us smelt like dogs because they rent out the rooms and have residence living there we got upgraded to an oceanfront with a balcony or oceanfront balcony. Glass door was bolted shut because lolly columns were holding up the six story structure. Overall the hotel did not compare to what was advertised on the website. It was extremely disappointing. There's a lot of character and charm that I expected due to the age of the hotel but I learned that it will be torn down this summer and replaced Palm Beach is beautiful. I would recommend that area, but I would not recommend staying at the ambassador the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but no one seemed to address the ongoing issues. The beach was not clean. The cabanas were broken. There were not enough chairs for guests

All the staff, including the Manager Robert, are the kindest, most charming and helpful people in this hotel. The Ambassador hotel is the most peaceful place to relax, rejuvenate and spend time on a beautiful beach. The pool is great to swim in at the end of a perfect day, again a peaceful place to unwind. We both absolutely love your hotel, the view from our beachfront room is amazing, the kitchen, spacious bedroom and living areas are perfect! I was exhausted from my life back home in Canada, and staying 2 weeks at the Ambassador made me feel like a healthy, happy new woman again! Many thanks for a most memorable time. This holiday was our 3rd time staying at the Ambassador and we look forward to returning in September! Collette and Bob

do not be fooled by the video advertising this hotel. It is a much different experience in person. I love the fact that it’s retro but no coat hangers and no coffee is a whole other level of hotel living. I’m not sure how this place is still in business and it’s a shame because it’s prime real estate. If someone could invest about $3 million, it might be a viable hotel! they literally checked me out on a yellow Post-it note.

We stayed in the 3BR penthouse suite. The property is adequate but very tired and there hasn’t been much effort to update or maintain it in many years. The young man at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. As long as you know this is an outdated 2-3 star accommodation, you’ll get what you expect.

Loved the pool and ocean was right there . Rooms very clean hospitality excellent and a nice breakfast each morning. Price also fair , had a grand time at a old hotel just not happy with blinds that don’t work when you want them to close. More then enough workers around to fix things. Washer and dryer needed phone to operate but couldn’t do it need coin machines back.

Excellent location , amazing stuff ,one of the very few oceanfront properties ,accommodation consists of apartments ,fully equipped ,the views are incredible and and the ocean part in front of the building is one of the nicest in Palm Beach for swimming -

I can't believe the bad review because I was very happy. The pictures of the rooms are true and I did not expect to look over the nice pool and partial Ocean view. Too bad they are working in front of the Ocean with a Big Pipe but...just walk down a bit and Beach is same as the 4 Seasons just a bit South. I loved this place and would go back. Skip the Breakfast though and explore area for lots of great breakfast options. Hell it's FL Palm Beach USA - You don't know how LUCKY you have it.

The hotel is very old, no rugs no decorations, no pictures on the walls and holes in the towels. There was no deadbolt on the door to secure myself in at night. The gym was a room with equipment in it, but not a lot, a few things. Overall I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.
