Very bad experience with the afternoon scenic drive. We were so bored looking at rocks, no driver's explanations, we did not learn anything, no animals, back pain for 4 hours. I did not receive any feedback from Gondwana since I have asked for reimbursement. The cost of the drive was even more expensive than Etoshas' !!!!. 160 € for 2 adultes and 1 child. The drive is definitely not worth the cost and I am very disappointed of Gondwana services.

Part of the Gondwanan groep (which has a deservedly high reputation in Namibia) this Lodge has it all. Good campsites with views towards the mountains, frequent elephant visitors, also at night they're munching the trees next to your 4x4. The Restaurants are very good, a nice gift shop, good service (& wifi) friendly staff & many different options to sit & enjoy the surroundings. I recommend it. The campsites are a little basic/dated but in good condition. The showers are shared (split, mens/womens) with the next campsite. The showers are good & kept clean, there are mirrors too but if you're over 5 foot, not high enough.. Next to your vehicle there is a place to cook/wash up etc & the cleanliness here left a bit to be desired. It was better to clean it yourself. This didn't spoil anything for us.

An excellent experiance. A family of 8 elephants walked right into the court yard and were right beside me (6 feet away) for breakfast

The service can be improved. The staff at the bar was very unfriendly. We opted for the more casual dinner option. After taking our order, the waitress forgot to place it with the kitchen. When our dinner finally arrived, it was cold and the meat was not done to order. The room was furnished with the bare minimum.

We stayed at Palmwag Campsite for a night in July and they were fantastic! We had spoken to the manager on the phone who was extremely helpful and organised a special trip for us to a local Himba Village. He was polite, informative and pro-actively helped us to find what we were looking for at short notice. Irvin (Ervin?) I wish I had taken your name down at the time properly. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your two guides (Ziggy and Timo), were fantastic and we had a brilliant experience that really made our time in Africa memorable. The campsite itself was one of the best we stayed at. Each campsite with hook up, Brai pit, seating bench and sunshade AND the most deluxe private bathroom area with sink, toilet and shower - heated! Which was luxury and welcome in the cold nights. They provide a really lovely pool area, bar and restaurant too - which felt so luxurious, like we were staying at the lodge itself! This area was very well maintained and sitting there of an evening, elephants wandered right past the seating area - a bonus that added up to an incredible experience. Thank you for everything!

When we first arrived we went to the wrong reception. The friendly staff redirected us to to the campsite’s reception. Here the staff was almost rude, not very helpful and they made us felt as if we were bothering them. I must add, Namibia is experiencing extreme “Oosweer” with wind gusts up to 85km/h. The dust is everywhere, so this has an effect on people’s mood, which is understandable. I just felt like they treated us like less valuable to their campsite/lodge, because we don’t pay N$ 10 000 per night. However, because of the wind we booked into a Camping2Go tent, which was a great idea. When the warm water pressure was low, the maintenance staff came to our rescue within half an hour. Overall, if they just could have been more friendlier and helpful, we would’ve seen them again.

This was the most expensive hotel we booked in Namibia but had the lowest quality service. We stayed for 2 nights and received no housekeeping service whatsoever. In addition I had emailed the hotel to inform them my partner was vegetarian which they acknowledged and then for 2 nights offered the vegetarian option as the potatoes and broccoli that accompanied the meat main courses. All other pleases we stayed catered admirably for vegetarians. If the management would like to know how to offer a quality service then they should book themselves into Mokuti Lodge in Etosha and use it as a learning experience. If you like being ripped off a bit then this is the hotel for you. The pizza at the pool bar was one redeeming feature and was delicious.

It was an amazing experience. We really enjoy staying here, because of the activities of the lodge. If you can, please do the activities because they are really awesome! You will need to sign a responsibility form because of wild animals, but it will be worth it, don’t be scared.

The Lodge is in an 'oasis' out in the wilds. We only stayed one night but were able to leave our car there whilst going on an organised 'camping' expedition for 3 days. The whole area was teeming with birds and other wildlife, the cabins/rooms very good with a feeling of remoteness and the restaurant/food well placed for the sunset views.
