The breakfast was poorly done. Granola bars, prepackaged muffins, instant oatmeal, hot chocolate and coffee, and more than half the time we went down for breakfast during our stay everything had been picked over and only a few packages of plain instant oatmeal and hot chocolate were left. Hotel staff said the meager breakfast was due to Covid, but we stayed in a similar hotel for the first week of our stay just south of Boston, and they had a full regular breakfast (including fresh fruit, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, fruit juice, milk, cereal and lots more). I think the meager breakfast was actually the hotel trying to be cheap and save money, but using Covid as an excuse. Due to the meager breakfast options, my kids would not eat what was offered and I had to go shopping to buy breakfast for the week in addition to our other meals, but then the refrigerator in our room stopped working and we had to throw out all the food because it went bad. The first room we were assigned had been smoked in, had a smoke smell and a cigarette burn on the pull out sofa mattress. We were moved to another room, but it had a foul smell coming from the AC unit (but it was better than the cigarette smell). All three stairways were closed during our stay as the carpet was removed and replaced with rubber stairs - so only the elevator could be used and there was a lot of noise. No pillows or sheets were available for the pull out beds, although the front desk gave us some blankets.
