During the Spring Festival, my family of 6 came to Gili M Island and stayed at Kurakura. I strongly recommend staying here. It was better than I expected. Although the hotel is not a five-star hotel, the room is clean and big. Although it was the rainy season, we stayed for 5 days. Although there were many clouds, we encountered a light rain for 1 hour. It was heavier at night, which did not affect the fun at all. We booked a connecting room with 2 children. There were 2 large beds, 2 single beds, and 3 rooms in total. There is also a small swimming pool. The island is very quiet. I met 1 Chinese in 5 days during the Spring Festival. Turn right when you go out and you will see an ATM machine, where you can withdraw cash with UnionPay. You can only use cash on the island, not credit cards. It was really unexpected. The hotel is located at the M Island Pier, and it takes only 1 minute to get off the boat. You can rent a bicycle to go around the island. Walking past the pier on the left is a good snorkeling area, with huge corals, rich colors, many turtles, and even more fish. Turn right and walk a few minutes to the small turtle base. Cross to the other side of the island, ride a bike for 5 minutes, and go down to the sea to see the most famous underwater sculptures. There are also many turtles and lionfish here. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic and I love it here. The hotel restaurant is right at the door, facing the sea. The slow life on the island is great, a perfect trip for the Spring Festival.

We liked everything

This is one of the best hotels we have been to. We took the Grand number. The little things in the room are amazing, even the pajamas are pink, all the towels are scented, overall a very cool room. Our breakfast was included, everything was delicious, except for the freshly squeezed juice, which was very diluted. The hotel area is small, but what a view by the pool, it’s just a bomb, like you’re in a movie. This hotel was recommended to me and I have never regretted it. Friends and I are delighted!

We had a great stay in Mola2 resort. Travelling as a family with our two grown-up kids, Mola2 wa a great location right at the beach but with quiet rooms behind the first line. The staff was friendly - especially Izom who was extremely professional, helpful and attentionate - he gave us excellent advice and helped with renting bicycles and boat trip. He was also very efficient in checking us in at the fastboat for our return trip. The manager was also very welcoming and professional. If we get a chance to come back to Gili, we will definitely come back to Mola2 resort.

We booked Ke rensia villas for part of our honeymoon. Before we arrived, we messaged via *********** to ask if it was ok if we checked in at 12pm as that's when our boat was arriving. The owners responded and said yes, that would be fine. We arrived after a very long journey on an extremely hot day. Both of us were pouring with sweat after finally reaching the hotel with very heavy bags. When we arrived we were told our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 2 hours. We were told 'you can walk around for 2 hours and come back'. When we insisted we had already arranged an early check in, the female member of staff who works on the desk was extremely rude to us and shrugged her shoulders and said 'that's just our check in time'. Eventually we were seated in the restaurant, Lockdown Kitchen and the staff said they would get a villa ready for us. When we were finally shown the villa, we were really disappointed. It was dirty, with a filthy breakfast bar area and there were several dead insect stains on the walls and a dead, squashed cockroach on the floor. The bedroom was extremely dark and dingy too, with a very hard bed. It was definitely not the romantic villa in the photos. To make matters worse, the location of the villa meant that ants, flies, enormous spiders and other flying creatures constantly came into the kitchen area and then also into our bedroom. On several occasions we had to call the front desk to have very large spiders removed from our villa because they kept ending up in our bedroom. It was really difficult to relax and go to sleep at night when we were worried about huge spiders coming under the large gap under the door and into our bedroom. On the first night some of the electrics in the villa complex also went out which meant our garden lights stopped working and we couldn't sit by our pool in the evenings. This still wasn't fixed when we checked out. Breakfast was average. I tried two coffees while we were here, both of which were abysmal and had to be thrown away. The banana pancakes I had were passable. You also couldn't close or lock the bathroom door from the inside which meant there wasn't much privacy going to the bathroom. Overall this was an extremely disappointing stay. The only plus point for this hotel was the lovely male staff members who were really friendly and helpful. However we would definitely not stay here again when we return to Gili Air and will not be recommending this hotel. This stay nearly ruined our honeymoon and we desperately wished we had booked somewhere else. In conclusion, the female member of staff here needs some customer training and if you like clean places and you aren't a fan of insects you definitely shouldn't book here.

The breakfast was a disappointment, the first buffet night we loved and booked for another night. The next night was the breakfast ‘a la carte', and we paid exactly the same value. The reason is that they did not make buffets when they had less than 30 guests, and only when we eat were about 25 people at the table... That's great! We would be back.

I was initially drawn to stay here from the beautiful decor and amazing reviews.. Both are very accurate in real life! As soon as we stepped into Hadi Hideaway we knew we’d picked the perfect place to stay, I said to my boyfriend this is how I imagine heaven to be. It was so peaceful, beautiful and serene. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. Like they say, make you feel like family! The service was comparable to a high 5 star hotel. Before you arrive they invite you to a WhatsApp to keep in contact throughout your stay which was very helpful. Food and drinks including breakfast was delicious. Amazing flat white too! Perfect location, 5 minutes from the harbour. I felt so grateful and lucky to experience a holiday on Gili Air and to stay at Hani Hideaway, one of, if not the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. This is the best hotel in Indonesia - hands down ✨.We absolutely loved our four day stay here. It is the most magical little hotel with the most wonderful staff. Maruhan is an absolute super star and remembered both of us by name and did everything to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Our room was gorgeous and clean and the outdoor shower was a stunning touch. We had the best massage of our whole Indonesian trip here too. There is simply no better place to stay on Gili Air. Thank you Koho - we will be back ❤️

From our first step into this resort, we were made to feel welcome. All rooms are cabana style with direct access into the most amazing pool on Gili Air. Rooms had very comfortable king size beds with amazing pillows. TV with Netflix was installed and internet access superb. A good breakfast (freshly cooked from the menu) was served next to the second infinity pool overlooking the sea. Nightly films showing on a large screen which is common in Gili Air. Especially nice was the manager and family inviting us to join in with a sing-a-long at night whilst sat on bean bags next to the pool. No, this hotel is not perfect but if it was it would have 5 stars and be much more expensive. The pools, rooms and staff will give you a 5 star experience so please do not overlook this little gem. We had a great time in Bel Air resort! We arrived very spontaneously as we decided to stay longer on the beautiful Gili Air island. The other hotel we stayed (but did not have a room available for the next days) recommended this hotel. I can understand why, staff is super friendly and really go above and beyond. Room was clean and nice and the pool was clean too which seems an exception on Gili air. Will come again and recommend to others!
