The Balnea hotel is very beautiful, you can see the effort of the architects, large common spaces, fine finishes, the room we had on the 3rd floor, overlooking the park, was very comfortable, windows and details in solid Douglas fir, bathroom large and well-kept. Unfortunately the reception also works for the hotel next door, of a lower category and therefore, as happened to us, you can find long queues for check-in. The same goes for the restaurant and the spa, too many people crowded together, the effect is that of a tourist village. As for the spa, which is a package deal in the rooms offered, I was disappointed by the fact that the splendid large outdoor tub was mostly unusable because it was either closed or had water that was too cold if opened. We then all find ourselves in the echoing internal pool with children chattering. Every now and then, megaphone gymnastics in the pool, here's the village effect that returns. Discreet but very varied and abundant food, breakfast with the usual inexplicable savings in a 4 star superior: undrinkable coffee and orange juice made with colored water.
