The Z Nite Hostel Reviews

The main problem with this hostel was the guy at reception. He was there during my whole stay. He has this very fake smile all the time and acts like everything is amazing, but he’s actually very unhelpful and rude. I asked him a simple question about transport, and instead of answering it, he suggested I go to a market that was 40 minutes away… completely unrelated. This happened around 1 p.m. while he told me “wasn’t working today,” even though you could tell he had just woken up and had absolutely nothing to do. The biggest issue was the lack of privacy. On my first day, I was shocked when he walked straight into the FEMALE-ONLY dorm without knocking or saying anything. I spoke to him about it directly, and he just laughed… like, WHAT? Then he said, “Haha, don’t worry, I’ll know,” but that didn’t stop him from coming into the room many more times during my stay for different reasons. I was often in comfortable clothes because, you know, it’s a female dorm, and I never felt okay with him just walking in whenever he wanted. It gets worse. At one point he came into the room with insect spray because there were ants and other insects everywhere (I stayed on the top floor). Without any warning, he started spraying toxic chemicals all over the room while we were still inside. All of us girls immediately started coughing and had to run out of the room. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like that before. I really wanted to report this receptionist after that. And that’s not even mentioning the hostel itself. The whole building smelled bad, dampness all the time. The toilet area was disgusting, and there was only ONE dirty sink for the whole floor 😱, and overall it felt dirty and poorly maintained. For the same price (or even less), I’ve stayed in WAY better places all over Asia. This was honestly one of the worst accommodations I’ve experienced, mostly because of the complete lack of respect for guests’ privacy and the unprofessional behavior of the receptionist.

This is my second time staying here and everything was perfect. The service was great, the place was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Plus, breakfast is included. I would definitely come back again without a doubt.

The fan for the bed was noisy, and the small light by the bed was too dim. However, the service was excellent.

Very friendly staff and comfortable location. It is easy to socialize and make good friends here. Next time I come back to Phuket I will choose this hostel again.

It was a very good trip in the hostel. The location is perfect, very close to several night market, to the grossery, a lot of good restaurants and cafe, from 5 minute to the old town and very close to the pier to go to Phi Phi Island.  The personal is also very kind and helpful !

They gave the best service and I had met a few strangers and we became friends too. What an awesome place to stay! Will be my next place to stay too.

Great. I like it. The bed is nice. The hostel had a breakfast for me, but I got up very late and forgot it. Next time if i gona stay in phuket town, I’ll definitely choose it again without doubt.

Cleanliness: Very clean; the hotel was spotless and there were no unpleasant odors. Check-in convenience: The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the young ladies were also very helpful. Service: Free breakfast was provided. The stay was very comfortable and quiet. Recommended.

With a simple breakfast included, friendly staff, and a surprise gift upon checkout, this is a great value accommodation. I recommend it if you are looking for an affordable long-term stay.

I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but at first I got a few bites, and by the third night I realized I was itching all over, with over a hundred bedbug bites all over my body. They were on my sheets, and I managed to crush three of them. I sent photos to management at 2 a.m. and spent the night without sleep or water to wash. Yet the hotel is clean. But "in my case," it's now impossible to go to the beach or get a massage. Vacation over.

The room is not bad, but the cleanliness is negative.

Excellent hostel, very close to the Old Town, good rooms, lighting sockets for each bed, towels are provided, there is a large space for gatherings on the ground floor with tables and sofas, if you need to work, it’s super comfortable there, and on the second floor there is a small common area. All liked it

Going on weekdays is comfortable. There are motorbikes for rent. Coming from the airport by bus is convenient.
