Very clean and friendly staff! The dining area and Buffett was loud and busy but the food was very good and easy to get your plate and find a spot to eat. Busy fun a**osphere and the beach was beautiful!

Very compact resort (5 min walk from the entry hall to the beach), still all bells and whistles of high quality all inclusive. Tasty and diverse cuisine, good animation and service. For sure we will come back to this resort next year!

This resort was exactly what I thought it would be. No worries at all and its nice to walk to town if you want to. Kids are around so if you dont want to deal with them I would pick a different resort

We are not overly active. They did try to get us moving. We liked the 1.2 mile walk to Playa along beach. It was as advertised.

This was my second stay at Viva Maya. My first stay was over 10 years ago. And I would definitely go again. The grounds are what I love the most. Such a tropical feel with lots of lush green everywhere. The beach is beautiful and you can walk way out in the ocean. Plenty of lounge chairs to choose from, both poolside and under the palm trees at the beach. Many good food choices from the main buffet area to the restaurants, and snack bar. Many drink choices as well including a coffee shop which was new from my last visit. In addition to the alcohol drinks they offer a variety of smoothies which are great for kids or those not wanting alcohol. Staff are very friendly. Our room was cute, clean and comfortable with a partial ocean view from the balcony. Good shows at night. I highly recommend this resort.

We loved the convenience to everything; market,5th Ave, tourist area and beach. The property and staff were amazing and entertainment was well-done. It felt very safe for our family. Add basketball court would be great. Pretty good food, we didn't go to the restaurants, the menus didn't seem attractive for our kids interest. Wish they had more kid friendly for restaurants.

Limited dining ! Could not get reservation for the others 3 restaurants ,not happy with the food that was served in the dining hall
