Hôtel Océan Dinan

Basic hotel with minimal amenities (e.g., no coffee or kettle in room, no fridge, one pillow, etc.).

For our night in Dinan, we wanted a hotel near the train station (this hotel is right across the street!) and near the old city (10 minutes walk). We booked a superior double room. We were informed in an email that reception was closed between noon and five pm. We arrived early so that the hotel was able to store our luggage. The manager very kindly opened reception earlier to accommodate his customers. The room was large, well lit and newly renovated. It faced the train station and the square. There was no coffee maker in the room. It offered many accessible plugs for our various appliances. Since there were no patisseries nearby we decided to have the hotel breakfast. It consisted of a buffet: coffee, teas, hot chocolate, fruit juice, bread, pastries, brioche, toast, cereals, fresh fruit, dried fruit, fruit salad, dairy products, etc. It cost €8.50 each, a reasonable price for France. This is a reasonably priced hotel offering everything that one needs, with very friendly and helpful service within walking distance of everything Dinana has to offer.

Lovely little Hotel. Friendly staff.well placed for visiting Dinan. We stayed 4 nights and visited lots of places in the area. Only minor downside is it could do with better storage as wardrobe space lacking.

Hotel is right across the street from train station (very convenient if you are traveling by train!) Room was spotless—extremely clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
