Vangelis Hotel & Suites

Wow! What a holiday! Absolutely fantastic stay at Vangelis last week with my wife and 3 daughters. First impressions last and we were blown away by the cleanliness, decor and service of the reception team on arrival. Easy and quick booking in and straight to our rooms that were supplied with fresh sandwiches, fruit and Water as we arrived late. Rooms were clean and airy with great air con. We had a pool view room which was worth the extra money. Pool area was clean for the first few days but as the hotel started to get busier (half term) it started to get dirty and there didn’t seem to be anyone cleaning the area in the evening/late afternoon. Always plenty of sun beds too so no need to worry about putting towels down in the morning. Food was absolutely top class, the best we have had in terms of quality and selection in all of our holidays as a family. AI Drinks were a good standard too also offering great iced coffee and milkshakes too. Snack bar was very basic but did the trick for us. was Location was superb. A 30 yard walk down the drive and you are on the ***** with plenty of options to eat, drink and shop till you drop!! Beaches are literally 300 yards from the hotel down a small slope and they were incredible!! Beautiful sand beaches with water as clear as our pool!! We had a late flight on the day of departure so booked a late checkout with reception (€80 till 10pm) which enabled us to enjoy our last day. The thing that will stick with us most though is the incredible service and friendly staff. From reception team to maids, from Bar staff to dining room stars they were all superb and are a credit to the hotel. Well done and thank you!!! If you are debating whether to book or not then I wouldn’t hesitate. Do it!!! We had an amazing first holiday in Cyprus but will definitely be back!!

Absolutely fabulous time spent with the Family at the Vangelis Hotel (26.05.24 - 06.06.24). Very pleasant surroundings in a central located position. Lots of local shops, restaurants and bars on the doorstep. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. Bedroom suite was large and spacious. Queen size bed in our room, separated by a door to the main room with 2 lounge beds (kids said were v. comfy). Decor was modern and tastefully done. Nice modern bathroom with double sink basins which was ideal for the 4 of us. Housekeeping was regular and not over pressured. In the complex was a nice pool area and enough sunbeds available, although you had to be up by 07.45 am to reserve them with the obligatory towel. You get provided with cards for exchangeable towels from the spa, which is a nice touch. Food was always varied (AI) and tasty. Not the usual free for all either, having to give your room number before being seated and drinks orders taken at your table. Drinks were good choice with usua local spirits and lagers. Bar staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Only gripe woyld be that only one bar was available after 6pm, which could get a little congested but was always civillised with a short queue. Entertainment was on everyday bar one (deserved) day off. Judit (Sipos), one of the animation team was fantastically friendly, and took time out to chat with us daily throughout our stay. Activities varied but usually involved exercise, so it was our daughter (Poppy - 10) who participated mostly, ha. Judit was lovely with her, even allowing her to take the morning stretch class, which she was absolutely thrilled with. Judit definitely went above and beyond and left a lasting positive impression which we were really appreciative of. We left Vangelis having had great family holiday and agreed that we would definately return in the future. We would thoroughly recommend:) Thank you VG & Judit x

Everything was excellent. The stuff was so nice and so good service. I love everything at this hotell. They clean our room every day and do it so good. Food was nice, U will find something U like every day. Our kids love the waffles U make every morning for the breakfast :)

Great hotel, everywhere very clean and tidy. Rooms nice and spacious and cleaned daily. Free use of safe and mini fridge in rooms. Bathrooms big with waterfall shower and hand held head option, great for washing kids hair! We had pool view and could also see the sea, we were on 4th floor No 4006. Sliding doors to separate master bedroom and kids bedroom. Entertainment was on all but 1 day and was good for both kids and adults. Loud until around 11:00pm bear in mind if you have little ones. We got there late so wanted an early night but was too loud to sleep until after this time, want a problem on the other days as we stayed up for the entertainment.. Food; Breakfast was ok.. bear in mind all inclusive aren’t al a carte dining and you won’t be disappointed. Pancakes and waffles with chocolate sauce etc for kids and the usual ‘full English’ type food. Not the best but was fine. Yoghurt and pastries also on offer. Dinner was available at the restaurant AND by the adult only pool at a snack bar doing cheeseburgers, chips, salads and toasties - good option if you don’t want to get dressed for dinner and what we tended to opt for. Tea was different cuisines every night, not great for kids as their options were limited and not great quality tbh.. being mostly chips, pizza and occasional nuggets. We ended up eating out a few nights but we do like to do that while away regardless of board. Our last night there was Mexican night and the food was actually really nice. We do like our quality food and have high standards.. we were expecting better as all the reviews leading up to us going commented how nice the food was but in all honesty we wasn’t that impressed. Drinks were fine and located by the pool through the day as well as by the adult pool. The main bar by the reception only opens at 5. DIY coffee machines in restaurants do decent lattee etc. If you want top shelf then you have to pay as these aren’t included in all inclusive, this was new to us as usually wherever we go everything is included, shame. No bottled water included either. The only diet/sugar free drink they do is Diet Coke but this isn’t actually diet.. our child is diabetic so we found this out the hard way which again is a shame and meant we had to find alternative sugar free drinks from local shops. Gym was good, I used this every morning and has all you need. Location was just off the main ***** of bars/shops/restaurants/arcades which was great and not noisy. About a 10minute walk down to the beach which was perfect. Lovely clean sand, clear shallow waters and sun beds very cheap at £7.50 for 2 beds and a brolly for the day. Overall nice holiday and loved the location and we would go back at the right price but probably opt for self catering or a different hotel as there are so many nice places to eat close by and there’s a great atmosphere in the area.

Was a lovely clean hotel in the middle of all the action on the main stretch. It’s a fantastic location and very clean hotel. Hotel room is amazing, fantastic use of space and whilst it can be noisy at night, I can’t say it bothered us much, were a family of 4 and often have the white noise machine blasting but I could understand how it may impact couples. It really didn’t bother us. AC was lush which is hard to come by these days with strict ac policy’s, not here, was amazing. Swimming pool is amazing, and whilst I know people complain about the sun beds and people getting up at 5am laying down their towels, we didn’t do this and still managed to find space but it was occasionally troublesome - there is some nice grass areas worst case where you can chuck a towel on and wait for something to free up. You do find from 4pm, beds start emptying (just incase you’re out and about and come back, you know something will be available). Food…. So it’s nice, all fresh etc but not very kid friendly in my opinion - I can only speak for a British citizen where we’re accustom to certain foods. The first few days were promising, chips etc, but there were a lot of days where there just wasn’t options for our kids, they’re just not going to eat meat in a Cream sauce or fairly plain pasta options - and so several days we sat down and got back up and ate out. But I do want to say, the food isn’t bad, it’s just not exactly tailored to a brits palette. I do want to go out and talk about the ala carte restaurant though, you can only book here once but wowsers, I was blown away by the service and food here - quite outstanding, just a shame that a one evening option. Compliments to the hotel here, was beyond what we were expecting, really special. Drinks:- family of 4, 2 of which are below 4, I can’t say much drinking went on, but they seemed nice enough. What annoyed me was they give you small cups for beer, yet in the ala carte menu they give you a proper pint….. I have to say, I think they let themselves down here, it’s very clear that this is a cost saving reason. Whilst I know you can go up as many times as you like (many won’t), there are sometimes queues and if you can give a point glass in the Ala carte restaurant, you should be able to give it anywhere in the hotel. I don’t think you can call it a pint, probably closer to half a pint. These are minor things really, we really enjoyed our stay, although, I probably would avoid all inclusive here if we were to stay again. I can’t see the value in doing it for us right now. I hope the hotel doesn’t take this in a negative in anyway, you have alot of people to please and I’m sure you’re going a great job in doing that. That said, please offer people actual pints!!!! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for a decent pint when you get off the plane, and to be offered a cup of beer was just not where it needed to be. I’m sure everyone will agree with me here, even the non brits.

First time we have been to Protaras and absolutely love it. We are a family of 4, one 19 month old & one 2 month old. Hotel is on the main *****, very clean, very friendly staff both on reception and in the restaurant, food was lovely we didn’t feel the need to eat out once. Huge variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kids disco is brilliant our son loved it & the 2 women were fantastic at engaging with kids all ages & languages. Entertainment isn’t bad the belly dancers & the fire starters are definitely worth the watch. Rooms are cleaned daily but we found that they don’t change the bedding often , we had the same mark on our bedding for 5 days until they changed it & they don’t always sweep the balcony floor but other than that they do a good job. Fig tree bay beach we found the best, clean & crystal clear waters. 5 min walk from hotel. Definitely worth renting a car €90 for 2 days, we went to nissi beach absolutely beautiful, blue lagoon where the turtles are & cape Greco. We also rented a boat which was €150 for 2 hours which was fantastic of the guys on fig tree. Would definitely return in the near future. Thank you

Absolutely amazing time at this hotel the last 2 weeks . So many memories made . Where to start, the hotel was beautiful, clean and well kept . The staff are all amazing from the cleaners waiters bar staff reception and management . All extremely friendly and helpful Nothing is too much for them . Pool was amazing, food was good rooms were immaculate every day thanks to the wonderful cleaner . Drinks and snacks in the day time were good . A special thank you to Valentino and Judit they work extremely hard everyday and brought so many strangers together to create an atmosphere around the pool that was brilliant . One big family so many friends that I would of never met if it wasnt for there hard work with there games in the day and entertainment at night . 10/10, I will always remember the memories made . Can not recommend enough hopefully see you all in august .

Great place, staff was amazing, 18+ pool with bar was nice , place was clean , pool is very nice , great place for kids, a lot of amenities, tennis , gym , spa with sauna and steam room, plenty of parking at the facility, breakfast buffet was really fresh and we enjoyed it

The hotel experience is fantastic,the staff are all friendly and helpful, My 3 granddaughters have had a wonderful time in the KIDS CLUB with VICTORIA The entertainment rep, She has a wonderful calming manner with the children, I cannot wait to return here as soon as possible
